Unicorn-Themed Treat Boxes/Bag

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone. I am sharing this fun unicorn-themed treat box/bag set with you today. I used the Tiny Gift Box and Tiny Gift Box Unicorn & Horse Add-on die sets from Lawn Fawn for the treat boxes.

I began by die-cutting the layers to create three unicorns, along with the lovely poinsettias from the
Christmas Blooms die set, the candy canes from the Build-A-House Gingerbread Add-on, and the scarf from the Build-A-Snowman die set.

I then used the Assorted Tags die set to die-cut the small tag for the treat bag. I also die-cut the smaller tag from the Scalloped Tag Square dies set along with a square that fits within it using the Additional Squares die set.

Next, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Dasher stamp set onto the treat bag, and the sentiment from the Mini Merry Messages stamp set onto the tag. To create the snowy layer on top of the small tag I used the Wavy Borders die set.

I hope you enjoy this fun unicorn-themed set. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day.

Tropical Holiday Party Treat Duo

Hi, everyone!  Toni here with you today sharing a treat duo with a birthday or holiday party in mind. I thought of a few members of my family who have birthdays in December as I was making this.  What a fun theme for that time of year!

I upcycled a white mini bag (but you could certainly use something like the Mama Elephant Favor Bag XL instead), but who wants a plain jane white bag?  Not this gal!

So I sponged the bag with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers and Prize Ribbon then spattered it with water.  Fortunately one of my acrylic blocks was the exact size needed to use inside the bag as a support while I was sponging the sides.

I used the hill from Mama Elephant Slim Card Basics to cut out the beach.

Note I easily extended the length by cutting one full cut then shifting the die down to the end to continue the cut so I had a long diecut that I could wrap fully around the bag.  I sponged and spattered that with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo and water.

I finished decorating the bag by adding Avery Elle Luau Party lights, Lawn Fawn Beachy Christmas images, and Lawn Fawn Christmas Palm Tree grass.  Let's not forget the Lawn Fawn Henry's ABCs banner with the Luau Party sentiment stamped on a Mama Elephant Let's Chat speech bubble.

I next turned my attention to the treat tube, which was ultra simple to make.  I cut out and sponged the Lawn Fawn Christmas Palm Tree then adhered it to the tube. I filled the container with chocolate candies in keeping with the surf and turf theme.  Talk about cute!

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.  Have a great rest of your day!

My [Holiday] sentiments, exactly!

Hello, my Doodlebugs friends!  It's getting to be that last push to getting as many Christmas/Holiday cards made as is possible before they are rushed to the elves at Bring Smiles to Seniors* for signing!

Besides those I shared over at my blog, I have two more for you today. Each features the stamps and dies from Pinkfresh Studios'
Brushed Sentiments - Holidays! suite of products.
I had a few foiled card panels in my stash, and a flurry of Altenew snowflakes.

This lovely purple Poinsettia is from Waffle Flower Crafts

I'd better start addressing envelopes, too!
Hope you're enjoying this season of card making!

* A non-profit I personally hold dear to my heart which was started by a fellow who stopped by his neighborhood dollar store to bring as many cards as he could to others in the Senior Care facility where his mom lived.  Nearly 900,000 cards later, people like you and I who make handmade cards have a wonderful place to share them all year long, not just at Christmas.

Gift Card Inspired Gift Card Holder....

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone. I am sharing the gift card-inspired gift card holder with you today. I used the die from the Framed Tags Delancy Creative Cuts die set from Mama Elephant to create the gift card holder.

I began by die-cutting two layers using the Framed Tags Delancy Creative Cuts die set from black cardstock. I then die-cut the leaves from the Tropical Leaves Backdrop die. To create the red berries, I used the circle dies from the Christmas Blooms, and the Stitched Teacup die sets.

I then created the mug using the Stitched Mug Frame and the Outside In Stitched Mug dies. I used the Tailgate Alphabet die set to spell out the word Merry. I then heat embossed the word Christmas from the Tag You're It: Holidays stamp set. The whipped cream topping is from the Lovely Latte die set.

I hope you enjoy this gift card-inspired gift card holder I created to share with you today. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. I hope you each have a wonderful and blessed day. Please feel welcome to visit me on my blogIG or Pinterest.

Friendly Neighborhood Treat Box Houses

Hi, everyone!  Toni here with you today sharing the cutest gift boxes for the holidays.  I so enjoyed decorating them and wish I could apply the same enthusiasm to my own holiday preparations!

I used the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Treat Box and Winter House Add-On for the basic house and roof, the latter sponged with Distress Oxide and spattered with Copic Opaque White.

I also used elements from the Lawn Fawn Build-A-House Christmas Add-On including the lights and windows on the house on the right.

And let's not forget the Mama Elephant Little Girl Agenda image I colored up with Copics (E00, E43, E44, G14, G17, N2, R24, R27, R59, Y11, Y15) and added to one of the houses.

I used Copics to color the trees, windows and wreaths but used Lawn Fawn Knit Picky Winter 6x6 Paper to "color" the house itself.

It occurred to me that with the various papers, inks and dies I have in my collection, I could easily create a treat box village.  How cute would that be, right?!

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.  Have a great rest of your day!

You've got to accentuate the negative!

Wait - accentuate the negative?? OH, I don't mean that in a negative way!!  Only that I've rounded up all of those leftover 'negative' foil pieces and turned them into very pretty sentiments - a very positive move, I say!

I heated up the Glimmer machine and got to work using those leftovers using Waffle Flower Crafts Merry Christmas duo hot foil plates and coordinating dies.

Here is the first pass which creates the 'positive' image...

Those gorgeous Altenew Layered Snowflakes made quick work of a very
pretty home for it. Gluing them flat onto a panel helps with postage.

Here is the 'negative' foiling using
Waffle Flower Crafts Solid Hot Foil Plate and cut with the coordinating die.

See those foiled boughs and holly leaves?  From Spellbinders' Holiday Blooms, I die-cut the from a less-than-perfect attempt - there was just enough perfection to cut them from!  Doesn't that holographic foil look pretty with the matte-finish gold?

Don't be mad at me - this hot foil plate was one I bought when I ordered my Glimmer machine - there are TONS of gorgeous
hot foil backgrounds in the Doodlebugs shop!

Don't you agree this cozy looking Tufted embossing will warm anyone this Christmas?!
Add a pretty gold or silver foiled sentiment and tie it up with a pretty white satin ribbon, and voila!

I'll be the first to admit that I don't always
get perfect results when hot-foiling - but what a statement it makes when the planets align!

Have a crafty weekend, my friends!

More Christmas Cards with Spellbinders Holiday Blooms and the Tweet Cardinal

Hello crafty friends. I have a quick post today sharing a few of my final Christmas cards!  Yay!  I'm on the home stretch and think this is actually the earliest I've ever finished my holiday cards.  Gold star for me!!

I used the Holiday Blooms set from Spellbinders again ( I made so many flowers and leaves) and added the adorable cardinal, also from Spellbinders.  Isn't he cute?

The layout is the same for all the cards.  I just mixed up the floral and foliage pieces.  Here's a peek at the other two.

The background is full of tiny stitched snowflakes that I added using the Magic Snow Cover plate from Mama Elephant.  The sentiments are from the Christmas Magic hot foil plate and the sweet scalloped rectangle came from the I Love You More Than set from Concord & 9th.

If you're still working on your cards I hope this inspires you to spend some time in your crafty space.

Gingerbread-Themed Treat Box/Bag Set....

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone. I am sharing this sweet gingerbread-themed treat box/bag set with you today. I used the Scalloped Treat Box die from Lawn Fawn for the treat box. You can also use the  Favor Bag XL die from Mama Elephant for the treat bag.

I began by die-cutting the layers to create the Scalloped Treat Box and the Favor Bag XL. I then used the Build-A-House Gingerbread Add-on die set to die-cut the icing layers, the candy canes, and the little gingerbread cookie for the treat bag. I used the bows from the Penguin Favor Bag Accessory die set and the Build-A-Snowman die set. The little gingerbread hands and pink cheeks are from the Build-A-Snowman die set, the Stitched Teapot set, and the Favor Bag Accessory Fox die set. The Christmas hat is from the Woodland Critter Huggers Winter Add-on die set. I then used the Stitched Circles Small die set along with the Scalloped Circle Mat 1 die set to create the gingerbread tag for the treat box.

I then heat embossed the sentiment onto a piece of vellum along with the speech bubble from the Ugly Sweaters stamp set. For the treat bag, I used the sentiment from the Tiny Gingerbread stamp set. The small tag is from the Stitched Teapot set and the sentiment is from the Tiny Tag Sayings stamp set. To create the window in the treat bag, I used the Inverted Stitched Scallop Circles die set.

I hope you enjoy this fun gingerbread-themed set. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day.

Hot Foiling with an Impression Plate

Hi, everyone!  Toni here with you today sharing a bonus card which I whippped up while playing during my long weekend staycation.

My card started with the Honey Bee Winter Gems A2 Cover Plate which is just beautiful when used as intended as an impression plate but I wondered if I could use it for hot foiling.  The answer is a resounding YES!

I used Spellbinders Glimmer Opaque White hot foil and added my rubber impression mat to the sandwich since the impression plate isn't quite as thick as typical hot foil plates.

I created a winter scene using the Spellbinders Magical Deer, lightly sponged in Distress Oxide Vintage Photo, MFT Winter Trees, the bird from the Lawn Fawn Build-A-Snowman bird sponged in Vintage Photo and Barn Door, and finally a couple of Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders cut from glitter cardstock.

I also added Star Dust Stickles to the tree limbs for an icy effect before popping the Honey Bee Let Nature Sing sentiment on top.

Isn't that gorgeous and elegant?  I love it so so much!

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.  Have a great rest of your day!

Decorating a Pre-made Gift Box

Hi, everyone!  Toni here with you today sharing an upcycled treat box resulting from a miscalculation.  Say what?  Yep, a miscalculation.

I had been experimenting with the Lawn Fawn Peek-A-Boo Pop Up dies and wanted to create a card where a bird flew down and placed a snowman's top hat on his head.  Cute, right?  What I failed to do was measure the height of the Lawn Fawn Build-A-Snowman.  He was simply too tall for the mechanism to work on an A2 card. Oh, well, let me use him somewhere else.

My first step in upcycling this treat box was to stamp it with Sunny Studio Snowman Kisses snowflakes in Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink.  I then added a bunch of Lawn Fawn Snow Flurries Backdrop snowflakes and Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes along with spattering come Copic Opaque White for a cool bokeh effect.

On the interior flap of the box, I cut out and trimmed down a hill using the Lawn Fawn Peek-A-Boo Pop Up hillside die.  I then mounted the Copic-colored Lawn Fawn Build-A-Snowman guy on top of that, adding a couple of snowflakes and Waffle Flower Layered Winter Bird greenery behind him.

I added more greenery and the Lawn Fawn Build-A-Snowman bird along with the Avery Elle Happy Tags Holiday sentiment on front.

Wouldn't you love to come to the office and find this treat box on your desk? I certainly would!

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.  Have a great rest of your day!

And finally, coffee inspiration. Here's the fall inspired card I created for the hop.  I simply LOVE the Love You More Than set from Concord and 9th.  It's great for Valentine's and love projects, but the images, especially the coffee cup, are great for so many occasions and events.  I chose some fall inspired colors for my coffee cups and dressed them up with some flower and leaves from the Be Bold Blooms from Spellbinders (another favorite of mine).

Hope you enjoyed the card!
