Tweet Friends from MFT Stamps

Let's welcome Toni back again! She's sharing this wonderful card with us today.  Don't you love the colors?

********

Hi, everyone! The weather is starting to warm up and I'm all about the coming spring. How about you?

This card uses a bunch of leftovers; don't you love it when you use up stuff that's been lying around (and now can justify getting more stuff!)? I knew I wanted to use the MFT Tweet Friends set paired with the MFT Big Hugs die. I happened to have a leftover of that made with patterned paper glued on top of black foam.

TIP: Ranger Glossy Accents works well with foam.

The card front was made with a Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock panel colored with Brushos and a die cut panel glued on top using Ranger Multi Medium Matte.  I then die cut the lot and adhered it to the card base. There's a lot going on in this card and the white border helps the focus.

I colored up the birds using the below Copics, inspired by the colors of the flowers. Don't you love how one bird is serenading the other? And how cute is the bird perched on the G! Finishing touches include adding a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Sequins and a banner sentiment stamped in a coordinating ink.

Altenew Layered Dahlia Stencil Set

Toni's sharing on the blog again today! I love these stunning cards she created with the Layered Dahlia Stencil set from Altenew!

******

Hi, everyone!  I have a bonus post for you this week. We all need sympathy cards in our stash (and unfortunately I had run out recently) so I worked up a couple for the future, as well as a happier card.

All of the cards use the Altenew Layered Dahlia Stencil A and Altenew Layered Dahlia Stencil B in different ways for different results.

With the first card I used the Copic Airbrush with V09, V15, YG63 and B93. I didn't bother masking as the airbrush allows quite a bit of control (not that I had any in some spots--need to practice!). I love the soft effect.  The sentiment is stamped in Versamark and embossed with Ranger silver embossing powder on vellum.

For the second card, I masked the two Altenew Stencils on the Strathmore Bristol card front and used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color. I just colored with the stencils still on the paper--didn't trace or anything. I love the brighter colors here so used a fab sentiment from the MFT More Essential Sentiments set, stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.

With this last card, I masked the flowers, the leaves and background while I sponged with Distress Oxides in Tumbled Glass, Crushed Olive, Worn Lipstick, and Mustard Seed. Gorgeous. And softly colored enough that I could stamp the Mama Elephant Wishing You sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black and be assured that it would stand out. If you look closely, you can see where I added a few drops of Ranger Glossy Accents as raindrops on the petals.

Do you have a favorite? We'd love to hear what it is!  You can check out my other creations on my blog, Frankie Helps Crafts.  Have a great weekend!

Coffee Cup Gift Holders from Honey Bee Stamps

Hello crafty friends!  We'd like to welcome Toni, from Frankie Helps Craft, to the blog again!  She'll be sharing some cute Coffee themed projects today.  Thanks Toni for the fun inspiration!

****

Hi, all!  I hope you're having a good day. I bet it would be better with some coffee! You could even be nice enough to give some away but only after you've had your own, of course. :)

I had such a great time making up these Honey Bee Coffee Cup Gift Holders! They came together very quickly so I was able to try all sorts of fun things!

I used papers from the Doodlebug Designs Cream and Sugar collection for both.

The sentiment on the left is one of the hearts from the Lawn Fawn Candy Hearts die. I love these so!

With the one on the right, my first, I used the Lawn Fawn Polka Hearts Portrait die to impress the front of the holder. The Altenew Coffee Talk sentiment is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.

Now can you see how the this works?  The body of the holder is cut from a single piece of cardstock.

TIP: I used 140lb, 110lb, and 80lb in the examples here; I preferred the 100lb with 80lb my second choice.

The sleeve is a separate die as is the lid if you choose to cut one, like I did with the mixed media version below.

For this holder, I used a variety of inks to color up the lid (Distress Ink Candied Apple, Distress Oxide Barn Door and Chipped Sapphire). I sponged and spattered the body with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso.  I love that spattering with water creates even more shades of color. I cut the sleeve using one of my Gelli prints.

Oh! The sentiments!  Both are Altenew Coffee Talk.  The lid sentiment is stamped with Versamark and embossed with Ranger Gold Super Fine Embossing Powder, my fav!  The sleeve sentiment was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black.

Feel free to stop by my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, to check out my other creations. Have a great day!

Mice Time to Celebrate from MFT Stamps

Hello everyone!  We are so excited to have Toni as a guest designer on our blog!  She'll be sharing some of her amazing work, here over the next few weeks.  We know you'll find her work inspiring, creative and fun!  Please take a moment to welcome her in the comments below and be sure to head over to her blog for a visit!  You'll find her at Frankie Helps Craft

Hi, everyone!  Toni of Frankie Helps Craft with you.  I am absolutely thrilled to be guest designing here and am really looking forward to sharing my creations and some tips here and there. Let's get started!

I sponged the card base using Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers. I then spattered the base using Peacock Feathers as well as Wilted Violet and Mustard Seed.

Next I impressed the Lawn Fawn Polka Hearts Portrait die onto the card front. Fantastic texture, right?

Now the really cute part!  I colored up the MFT It's a Mice Time to Celebrate images using the below Copics. These critters are just too cute!

I added a bit more visual interest using the MFT Gray and White Basics paper, die cut with one of the Lawn Fawn Simple Grassy Hillside dies. The sentiment on the banner is stamped with Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.  If you want to see my other creations, you can check out my blog, Frankie Helps Craft.  Have a good one!
