What's New Wednesday

The Christmas goodies are starting to hit the shelves.  We just put out the Holly Berry Collage tableware from Creative Converting.  I love the table setting image from their website.  They've mixed the tableware with birch, pine cones, and green, for a wonderful rustic and cozy look.

Sizzix has some GREAT deals right now.  Both of the above dies come with FREE products.  The gable box includes TWO FREE EMBOSSING FOLDERS and the  Snowmen die includes a FREE SIZZLITS LET IT SNOW DIE.  I'm sure these won't last long.

Finally, our last image is from CR Gibson.  We have some beautiful boxed cards that sold out last year as soon as we put them out.  I ordered extra this year, but expect that they will disappear quickly.  They are dimensional and glittered and almost look hand made.  The box is as beautiful as the cards and the price is less than $1 per card.  We also just put out this cute Santa tableware.  It's fun for Christmas Eve,  Cookie Parties, or a fun Holiday lunch.

Hero Arts and Sizzix Stamp and Cut Set

Happy Tuesday everyone.  Thought we'd share some Holiday cards we made with the Stamp and Cut Ornament set from Sizzix / Hero Arts.  These cards are wonderful, yet, quick and easy to recreate.

The background of this card was stamped with one of the Penny Black background stamps we have in stock and Espresso pigment ink from Ranger.  I used Pearlescent Ivy Brilliance ink from Tsukineko to stamp the ornaments.  Once the ink was dry on the ornaments, I sprayed them with Perfect Pearl Spray from Ranger Ink.  It's hard to see, but they do have a shimmer to them.  I added the ornaments to the front of the card with foam dimensional dots and stamped the sentiment in the same green as the ornaments.

I stamped and cut the second ornament in the set to create this card.  I used the same Espresso ink from Ranger Ink and the same background stamp from Penny Black.  I embossed the blue cardstock with one of the Sizzix embossing folder we have in stock and used Martha Stewarts Holly Punch for the holly accent on the ornament.

Penny Black Holiday Stamps

We have some wonderful Christmas stamps this year from Penny Black.   I love their stamps.  They have such a great variety of styles.  You can create some adorable and cute cards with their hedgehogs and snowmen.  Choose a more traditional card with their Wise Men stamp, or opt for elegance and "wintery" (not sure that's a word) using some of their beautiful trees.

We have a few samples to share below.  Stop in for an up close and personal look, and some basic instructions on how you can create one of these for your Christmas cards.

Penny Black Stamp- "The Light Brigade"  Don't you love the Sparkly Fluff we glued on their bellies?

Penny Black- "Santa's Hat"
We colored the image with Copic markers, embossed the background with and embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts, and the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday's "Good Cheer" set.

Penny Black- "To Follow the Star"
We used the Sizzix Flip die to create this fun card at our Holiday workshop last week.

Penny Black- "A Splash of Winter"
Watch your emails this month for demo information on this card.  We'll be demonstrating how to make this beautiful card.

What's New Wednesday

Wow!  It's Wednesday already.  Where does the time go?

Are you an owl fan?  If so, you'll love this new paper we have from Echo Parks Fall Fever mini collection.  Best of all....it's made in the USA.

Pink Paislee has a wonderful collection of resist paper and chipboard, and a fabric album cover.  Ink or paint the resist papers any color you want and expose the beautiful varnished designs.  The fabric album cover is perfect for stamping, painting, inking and creating your own beautiful piece of art.  This one is going to be fun.  Can't wait to see what Mary does with it.

Finally we have the North Pole collection from Doodlebug Designs.  It's such a cute collection.  Their products are always so colorful, cheerful, and whimsical.  I'm in love with their holly berry paper this year.  It's got to be my favorite.

Stop in for a look.  The owl paper won't last long!!

Darcie's Heart & Home Halloween Stamps

I thought these little guys were so cute.  This stamp, from Darcie's Heart and Home, came in a few weeks ago.  I couldn't resist taking them home.

The spider web stamp is from Impression Obsession.  I stamped  with embossing ink on white paper, and embossed with clear embossing powder.  I used Tim Holtz Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink, and inked over the embossed spider webs.  I then sprayed it with Ranger's Perfect Pearls spray (color perfect pearl).  The mummy is colored with Copic markers.

I colored this guy with Copic markers and placed him on a background stamped with the NEW Hero Arts Neon Inks and a background from Impression Obsession.  The embossing folder is from Lifestyle Crafts.
