Dainty Flowers from Paper Smooches

Today's post is quick.  We have a clean and simple card to share.  It was created using the Dainty Flowers die from Paper Smooches.  You can find the flower die HERE, the vases HERE and the bows HERE.  If you're looking for the sentiment, it is from Mama Elephant and can be found HERE.

The flowers, vase and bow were die cut from watercolor paper and the pieces were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  The outside/outline of the flower was cut from black cardstock and the colored pieces of the flower glued back inside the outline.

Here's a look at the finished card.

Sketchy City 2 Seattle from Altenew

Have you had a chance to pick up the Sketchy City 2 Seattle stamp from Altenew?  We have them in stock in our online store as well as our brick and mortar store, in Sequim, WA.  Today we're sharing a card inspired by our amazing Seattle Seahawks team colors.

I colored a piece of watercolor paper using Gansai Tambi watercolors.  Once it was dry, I stamped the image with the Seattle skyline and black Versa Fine ink.

The stitched rectangle and scallop rectangle were cut using the Blueprints #20 Die-namics set from MFT Stamps.

Looking for other Seattle or destination stamps?  Head over to our website for a look at some wonderful destination stamps from HERO ARTS.  Here's the a LINK to the stamps shown below.

We also have these awesome woodmounted stamps for Seattle!  You'll find them HERE.

New Classes Added

The following classes have been so popular, we've added a second class for both of them.  You must pay the class fee in order to reserve your spot.  Give us a call at 360-683-3154, or stop in to do this.  However, don't delay, both classes were very popular and have long wait lists.  We expect they will fill up quickly.

Summer Adventure Stamp from Technique Tuesday

Today we're sharing some pocket scrapbooking / Project Life cards we created using the new releases for May from Technique Tuesday.  These are perfect for your summer and beach travels.  You can find them HERE.

I love to use Stick-It sheets (coming to our website soon!) when I'm cutting small die cuts.  I apply a sheet to the back of some white cardstock, cut the shapes, and color with Copic Markers.  Super easy!  If you've never used Stick-it before, visit this LINK for a quick demonstration and explanation regarding the product.

Organic Blooms from Mama Elephant

I posted a sneak peek of this card last week.  We finally have photos of the finished version.  This card is SUPER simple and fairly easy to create.  We stamped watercolor paper using the Organic Blooms stamp set and colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

The sentiment was stamped, cut out, and popped up with some foam adhesive.  The stitched rectangle die is from the Blueprints 13 Die-namic set from MFT Stamps.

Here's a  closer look.

What's New Wednesday

Hello Wednesday.  Hoping you're having a great week.  We're off to Southern California for my nephew's graduation.  Sarah is managing and taking care of our brick and mortar store in Sequim, WA.  Please stop in and say hello to her.

As most of you know, we are a very small, family run business.  So, when something big happens in the family (my nephew's graduation), most of our staff is unavailable.  Our online store will be open, and orders can be placed.  However, shipping will be delayed by a few days.  Please note: orders placed Wednesday evening through Sunday, will ship on Monday.  Thank you for your patience!!

We're excited to carry the new Avery Elle stamps and dies release!  Below are a few favorites.  The entire release can be found HERE.

We now have some of the NEW releases from Altenew in stock.  You can view them all HERE.

We're taking a short summer break from our Card Challenges.  We will resume them, in August or September as we approach the end of summer.  We will announce the May Card Challenge winner once we return next week.

1. Looking for a fun technique?  Take a look at these two videos I found on partial die-cutting.  The first VIDEO is from MFT Stamps and the second VIDEO is from Jennifer McGuire.  I can't wait to give this technique a try!
2.  I found an awesome color chart for using Memento Dye inks and Altenew (or layered flower stamps) on Beru-Craft Designs blog.  She has generously shared some awesome color combos on her blog that are perfect for your layered Altenew flowers.  You can check it our HERE.
3.  Of course we wouldn't want you to miss our fun projects posted to our blog last week.  So, just in case you haven't seen them, you can find them HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.

Whale Wishes from Mama Elephant

I love the cute little whales in the Whale Wishes set from Mama Elephant.  They're perfect for making slider cards with the new Slide On Over dies from Lawn Fawn.  So, here it is, my first attempt at a slider card.

I used the Ocean Waves Trio to create some layers for the sea.  The background and the waves are cut using watercolor paper.  Then, painted and inked to with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.
