Bold, Graphic and Yet Simple Backgrounds

Hi, everyone!  Toni here with you today sharing a bold graphic and simple to make card.

I started the card by cutting out the Mama Elephant Striallop Diagonal Die in a sturdy white cardstock. I then cut it out again using Sunny Studio All is Bright 6x6 Paper.

I had intended to use the reverse of the rainbow paper but changed my mind because the rainbow is brilliant. However, the cuts were now reversed and I had to cut a few more pieces using scraps.

That said, the Mama Elephant Striallop Diagonal Die is not quite symmetrical but still very easy to use.

To continue, I then mounted the lot on black cardstock to match the bold black of the Versafine Onyx Black I used with the Pinkfresh Studio Brushed Sentiments.  Love that contrast!

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board

Fun and Bright Striped Background Card...

Hello and happy Wednesday everyone! I am sharing this fun and bright card with you today. I used the adorable Stitched Sun Frame and the Outside in Stitched Sun dies from Lawn Fawn.

I began by using the largest rectangle from the Lacy Layers A2 die set to die cut the base panel for the card. Next, I used the Simple Striped Portrait die to die cut stripes from white and turquoise-colored cardstock. I then glued the die-cut strips onto the die-cut stitched rectangle layer. Next, I used the Stitched Sun Frame, and Outside in Stitched Sun dies to create the sun shaker for the card. I then used the cloud dies from the Backdrop Meadow Portrait die to add the clouds to the sun.

I added a bit of color to the edges of the die-cut sun shape using Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold,  and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide inks. I then used the ‘hello’ phrase from the Flamazing stamp set from Avery Elle, and the ‘sunshine’ from the Wish You Were Here stamp set from Trinity stamps.

I hope you enjoy the card I created to share with you today. Thank you very much for taking the time to stop by. I hope you each have a wonderful and blessed day. Please feel welcome to visit me on my blogIG or Pinterest.

Using Mini Stamps in the Foreground

Hi, everyone!  Toni here with you today sharing a fun birthday card or is it a graduation card or maybe a congrats? So versatile!

I stamped the card front using some of the Mama Elephant Oodles of Noodles (Sriracha, lime, pepper, chopsticks) and Lawn Fawn Purrfectly Wicked (spoon and soy sauce) small accessory stamps.

I then cut an aperture so that the Mama Elephant Oodles of Noodles bowl image could peek out, just like that little bear is doing. So cute!

I colored up everything with Copics, a lot of them because sriracha is a very specific color, thank you very much.

I finished the card by embossing the Mama Elephant Noodle Sayings sentiment onto a Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banner. Are you hungry now?  LOL!

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board

I then added color to the Backdrop Tropical Leaves die-cut layer using Merman, Fake Tan Lawn Fawn inks, and  Twisted Citron, Lucky CloverDried Marigold, and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide inks. Diecut Negatives as the Focal Point

Happy Valentine's Day!  Toni here with you today sharing a card inspired by conversation hearts. They barely have a flavor and the texture is like chalk but I love them, what can I say?

I had leftover Mama Elephant Heart Grid Window hearts from an earlier Valentine and didn't want them to go to waste. Heck, no!

So I sponged them with a variety of Distress Oxides (Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Milled Lavender, Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry), keeping my touch light so they'd be pastel.

I then adhered them to the card front, using the diecut positive as a template.  Once the ink had fully dried, I embossed them with Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Sentiments and Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Holiday Sentiments.

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

Stitched Backgrounds Plain and Rainbow

Hi, Everyone! Toni here with you today.  Do you recall a while back I created a set of fall cards using the Pretty Pink Posh Cozy Fall Critters? Ever so cute and perfect for winter too!

Both cards use the Lawn Fawn Giant Let It Snow dieLawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes Backdrop, Lawn Fawn Stitched Stitched Snowflakes, and Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes. As always Lawn Fawn has produced new products that go perfectly with what may already be in our stashes.

I kept the first card really simple, leaving the background and snowflakes in white. I added a bit (okay, a lot) of Clear Wink of Stella to the diecut. Sparkles, sparkles, sparkles!

I colored both PPP critters with Zigs. I particularly LOVE the rainbow scarf!

For the second card, I sponged the background with Distress Oxides Wilted Violet, Mustard Seed, Salty Ocean, Salvaged Patina, and Picked Raspberry.

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

Using A Christmas Backdrop for Valentine's Day...

Hello everyone, happy February!!! I am sharing this Valentine card with you today. I used the awesome  Backdrop Peppermint Stripes die from Lawn Fawn. I was inspired to create a valentine-themed card using this die the way the Lawn Fawn design team member Audrey Tokach used it.

I began by die cutting two layers of the striped backdrop from red cardstock using the Backdrop Peppermint Stripes die, then I used the scalloped frame from the Framed Tags Madison Avenue Creative Cuts die from Mama Elephant to die cut it from white cardstock. I then cut a slightly larger piece of pink cardstock to mat the die cut layers. I glued the front of one of the striped backdrop panels to the back side of the other striped backdrop panel. I then glued the scalloped frame onto the front of the top layer.

Next, I die cut three layers of the phrase using the Giant Be My Valentine  from white cardstock, and one layer from gold glitter cardstock. I then glued them and layered them together, then glued it to the card base. Next, I used the Fancy Wavy Banners die set to die-cut the banner for the sentiment. I then heat embossed the sentiment from the Scent with Love Add-on stamp set onto the base layer banner.

I hope you enjoy the card I created to share with you today. Thank you very much for taking the time to stop by. I pray you each have a wonderful and blessed day. Please feel welcome to visit me on my blogIG or Pinterest.
