Don't forget Friday Night at the "Art Bar"

Don't forget "Happy Hour" at our Friday night "Art Bar".  Stop by between 4:30pm and 6:30pm if you'd like to make this adorable owl pillow box.  Owls are so popular right now.  Especially with baby showers and first birthday parties. These would be wonderful additions to your next owl party.

Add the following quotes to your owls:
"You're a HOOT!"
"OWL  always love you"
"Look WHOOO's having a birthday"
"Look WHOOO's having a baby"
Have fun!!

We get very few "trick-or-treaters", which means I can go all out and make fun treat boxes and bags for the kids. This tombstone popcorn box is so cute...I think I will create a special "Tombstone Popcorn" recipe to go inside!
Thanks everyone for the great comments.  We hope you find the NEW blog a great source of inspiration and information.  Happy crafting!

It felt funny leaving a post with no pictures, so we leave you with an image of our "Happy Hour" project from last night.  We have a few kits left if you'd like to purchase one.

Loving the mustache!

I love the fun ideas I've been seeing posted on Pinterest using mustaches.  This summer we used the mustache dies from Lifestyle Crafts and some of the crazy sunglasses we carry, to create some fun photo props for our family reunion photo booth.  I thought I'd share with you a couple of the photos.

Below are a few more ideas I found on pinterest.

Jack-o-lantern Treat Bag

I love this cute Jack-o-lantern treat bag that Sherree made.  You can find the directions to recreate this by visiting her blog.  She was kind enough to make one for display at the store.  So, if you'd like to see it in person, stop by.

Tombstone Treat Box

Take a look at this Halloween treat box on display at the store.  We made it using Lifestyle Crafts Popcorn Box die.  We created the tombstone shape using Tim Holtz/Sizzix movers and shapers Cabinet die.  Once that was cut, we trimmed the edges to match the sides of the popcorn box and then secured it to the front.  The stamped image is from JustRite Stamps Trick or Treat borders and centers set and was cut with Spellbinders Classic Oval set.  We colored the image with Copic Markers and (it's hard to tell in this picture) added some Stardust Stickles from Ranger to the ghost.

Leave a comment on today's post.  We're giving away a $10 gift certificate for Doodlebugs to one lucky person on Saturday, September 24th.  You must leave a comment on this post to be entered.
