Bonus Day with Toni: Avery Elle Holiday Skates

Hello, Doodlebugs fans!  I think this card is so classically Christmas thanks to the Avery Elle Holiday Skates.

I stamped the images with a Copic-friendly ink and used the coordinating Avery Elle Holiday Skates dies to cut them out. I love how the dies cut out the slots between the shoe and the skate.

I colored up the images with Copics. I wish everything were this quick to color!  You can see the shimmer of the Zig Wink of Stella Clear pretty well in the pic below.  You can see the bit of snow on the die cut sentiment too.  I did that by applying a bit of Zig 2-Way Glue Pen and sprinkling on Doodlebug Design clear glitter. It dries really quickly.

The card base consists of Avery Elle Holiday Collection 6x6 Paper with the Avery Elle Oval Burst die cut on top. I like the built-in focal point. You end up with an oval and rectangle of the paper left--you know I'll use those in a future card.

I popped up the top skate with Scotch Foam Tape.  Oh, I added a bit of snow to the die cut sentiment by applying a bit of Zig 2-Way Glue Pen and sprinkling on Doodlebug Design clear glitter.

  1. This is so adorable. Yes, I learned how to ice skate and roller skate when I was a kid.
