Tuesday with Toni: MFT Mermazing Valentine

Hello, Doodlebugs fans! I'm in full Valentine cardmaking mode. I thought I would pull out some sets that haven't seen much love lately. Even stamps need a little love sometimes. ;-)

I used the MFT Mermazing set, coloring her up with Copics.  A few Lawn Fawn Christmas Fishes heart bubbles are also colored with Copics.

I used retired MFT Let's Get Nautical dies for the porthole but the Lawn Fawn Porthole Frames are a good substitute.

I added a bit of Distress Oxide Weathered Wood around the porthole to spotlight it a bit.  You can see the shadow best in the lower right of the porthole in these pics.

I added ocean waves on top using the MFT Ocean Waves dies as a die but also as a mask so I could sponge Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers waves too.

I hope I've inspired you this week!

Friday with Amy: Lawn Fawn | Ready Set Snow

Hello and Happy Friday!  It's Amy and I have a winter themed card to share with you all today.  I hope that everyone is having a fabulous week, I know that I am!  Today's card features Lawn Fawn's:

Here's how I was inspired:

I used both the Ready, Set, Snow Lawn Cuts and the Ready, Set, Snow Shaker Add-On Lawn Cuts.   My card is 4.25 x 4.25.

I added a strip of paper from the Snow Day Remix 6x6.  Here are my copic colors:

YR18
YG07 | YG17
BG45 | BG53
BG09 | BG18
C00 | C1
W0 | W1

I love that the Yeti is peeking out of the snow globe.  I recently started collecting snow globes and I'm up to 3 holiday/winter ones.  As an added challenge, I can only pick them up from the Seattle Goodwill store.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Tuesday with Toni: Flurry of Fun

Well, Christmas is tomorrow and I didn't send out all of my holiday cards but I always plan on making some winter cards too so I'm all good. I have until the end of February to send these out (but will I???). :)

For this card I sponged the card base with the MFT Pine Tree Stencil and Distress Oxide Cracked Pistachio. I added some unexpected black snowflakes (love the contrast!).

I colored up the MFT Snow Buddies and Sunny Studio Scenic Route images with Copics.  I used an MFT Pierced Circle die to cut the circle.  I wonder if those are retired. I've included some alternate circles in the product listing at the bottom of the post.

The sentiment (and snowflakes for that matter) are stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. Oh, that's right. I fussy cut the hats and scarves from scrap paper, including Doodlebug Design Christmas Magic.

Happy holidays to you and yours.  I hope you have a joyful season full of love and happiness!

Friday with Amy: My Favorite Things | Hi There!

Happy Friday!  It's Amy and have a change from holiday themed projects.  Have you picked up your new MFT goodies?  Today's card features My Favorite Things:

Here's how I was inspired:

The color palette was set by the panel from the MFT Stamps On-Point Patterns 6x6.  The copics I used are:

G21 | G24
BG07 | BG09
E50 | E51
E31 | E33
C9
N5 | N6

The Stitched Oval Scallop Edge Frame has been cut from Neenah Solar White 110.  The inner circle is Brisol that has this trio of Distress Oxides:

Tumbled Glass
Faded Jean
Ground Espresso

I'm such a fan of Kristina Werner's Distress Oxide Ink Blending Color Combos!

Bristol, Blender Brushes and Distress Oxides makes the process so easy!  Today I used the Cloud Stencil by MFT.

Bonus Day with Toni: Sunny Studio Christmas Garland Frame

Can you believe Christmas is next week?! I was able to mail out all of my holiday cards on time (tho cutting it close in some instances), including these beauties.

The first card is mostly dies and sponging. Easy!  I sponged the Sunny Studio Christmas Garland Frame using Distress Oxide Evergreen Bow and Twisted Citron, the MFT Delightful Deer with Vintage Photo, and the back of the birch trees with Black Soot.

I used a piece of Sunny Studio Subtle Grey Tones 6x6 Paper for the background.  The MFT Bitty Holiday Wishes sentiment is embossed on one of the MFT Skinny Strips.

This next card is a study in pinks.  I sponged the card base with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry and the Sunny Studio Christmas Garland Frame with Evergreen Bough and Tea Dye.

I stamped the Sunny Studio Season's Greetings sentiment in neon ink then spattered the lot with a combination of Distress Oxides, including Picked Raspberry, Evergreen Bough, Tea Die, Black Soot and Vintage Photo.

My final card again uses the Sunny Studio Christmas Garland Frame on a piece of Sunny Studio Subtle Grey Tones 6x6 Paper. The silver mirrorboard cardstock really pops against that subtle gray.

I added a few Doodlebug Design Holly Berries. Love the shine and color of those against the silver and gray.

Tuesday with Toni: Sunny Studio Hogs & Kisses

When I said I can't get enough of these Sunny Studio pigs on my own blog, I meant it!  I just had to create another card to share with you here.

My background consists of Avery Elle Holiday Collection 6x6 Paper leftovers--yes, that red stripe paper is hiding some uneven edges. It also serves as a fun backdrop for the Honey Bee Winter die.

Of course, the piggy is from Sunny Studio Hogs and Kisses. I used him to replace the U in the Mama Elephant Tri Window Cover HUGS die cut. He's so round . . . like me!

I added one of the Lawn Fawn Simply Wavy Banners for him to stand on. This was the perfect platform for the rest of the sentiment too.

I added little freckles using my beloved Posca marker as well as a few snowflakes from the Concord and 9th Take a Bough set.

Friday with Amy: Lawn Fawn | Peace Joy Love Lattes

Happy Friday!  It's Amy here and I'm back sharing a card that features:

Here's how I was inspired:

My crafty group might recognize this card, it is a variation of a Make n Take that I brought to our holiday gathering last weekend.   I've been having fun with the Lawn Fawn How You Bean? set.

I went with a soft color palette to coordinate with the Lawn Fawn Snow Day Remix 6x6.

The copics I used:

YR000 | YR00
YG41 | G12
G0000
G000 | G00
E40 | E42
E41 | E43
W00 | W3

The coffee mugs from Thanks A Latte was stamped with a sentiment from How You Bean? Christmas Cookie Add-On.  Do you notice the twine on the mug handle.  Just a bit of embellishing to cover a black ink smudge.  Looks like I may have had ink of my MISTI magnets [I know you feel my pain].

The word Latte is from the Thanks a Latte set.  I added the S from the word Holidays from the same set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Bonus Day with Toni: Lawn Fawn Build a House

Hello, friends! Today's card was super fun to make and waaaaaaay easier than decorating the outside of my own house.

I used the LF Build a House and LF Build a House Christmas Add-On along with LF Tiny Christmas. So so cute!!!!

I colored up the images with Copics as well as the house window interiors.  I colored the steps and window frames with Distress Oxide Fired Brick, the Christmas light wires with Mowed Lawn and the roof and door with Vintage Photo.

I used a piece of LF Snowday Remix 6x6 Paper for the background.  I love the bunny peeking out to the left of the steps. Be very very quiet, mister rabbit.

For final touches, I used Christmas Red Stickles and Stardust Stickles for the lights and berries.  The LF Merry Messages is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.

Tuesday with Toni: Lawn Fawn Flippin' Awesome

Bloop, bloop, Doodlebugs Fans! If you follow my personal blog or IG, you know I've posted a couple of other Flippin' Awesome cards in recent weeks. The one we're going to talk about now was my first although posted third. Funny how blog time works.  LOL.

Here I used nearly everything Lawn Fawn including Christmas Fishes, the Flippin' Awesome dies and Add-on, and Snow Day Remix 6x6 paper. I looooooove how LF is so mix and matchy.

I stamped the various images using a Copic-friendly ink and colored them up with Copics.

To save myself some time, I didn't both masking the images before stenciling over them. I think it makes them look even more underwater.

I used Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers and a blender brush with the stencil to create the waves.

If you're interested in how the Flippin' Awesome set works, I'd recommend watching the first few minutes of the LF video.  After that you won't need to watch it again--the dies are just that easy to use!
