Hello from Amy : I could have just texted | Lawn Fawn

Yay For Friday!  It's Amy here with a card featuring Lawn Fawn:

I knew I wanted to incorporate the Simply Celebrate Summer stamps into my 'Work From Home' scene.  So I used one plant and one pineapple.  I made a pineapple lamp!

I found a embossing folder in my stash that is hexagon tiled.  It reminds me of floor tile.  The sentiment is so true these days....

These are the copics I used:

Bonus Day with Toni: ME Letter Board Xmas

Oh, just look at me getting a tiny bit ahead on my holiday cards for this year.  A very tiny bit!

I used the Mama Elephant Letter Board dies along with an ME Zodiac Pig.  Full list of ingredients below, except for the Copics which I forgot to note.

Before I go, I bet you noticed the exclamation mark in place of an I and possibly noticed the W for an M but how about the J as a candy cane? Tee hee!

Tuesday with Toni: Mama Elephant Letter Board

Hi, everyone!  Today is my last day with you.  My last Tuesday, that is. Psych!  Starting next week, we will be moving to a Monday, Wednesday, Friday posting with myself on Monday, a new person on Wednesday (ooh, who could it be?????), and Amy still on Fridays.

My card today uses all sorts of Mama Elephant goodies including the Letterboard dies and Zodiac Pigs.

I cut out the letterboard using Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine 6x6 Paper. Note I had done an experiment with various paper and found a plain-ish paper of 60-80 lbs works best.

I cut out the Zodiac Pigs and colored them up with Copics.  I did the same with the letterboard letters. Having the lines on the board helped a bunch but I still used tweezers to help place them as they're small at 1/2" tall.

The little pig is actually the balloon with the string masked off. Isn't he cute?  I also popped him up on foam tape because why not. :)

That's it for me today.  I'll see you again soon!  In the meantime, if you'd like to check out my other creations, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

Bonus Day with Toni: MFT Cat-astrophe

Hey, everyone!  I made some bonus cards this week.  I couldn't very well feature dogs on Tuesday and not give some times to cats, now could I?

I used the MFT Cat-astrophe set for these. Love the set name and love the cats!  Birdie Brown has done it again, hasn't she?

The first card features a cow cat on top of a Pretty Pink Posh Spring Scene die.  I really like that the elements of this die are separate so you can use the pieces you want.

My second card features seal point cats frolicking on an MFT Ray of Light stencilled and masked background.  I used Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade and Twisted Citron.

I'll see you next week!  If you'd like to check out my other creations, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

Tuesday with Toni: MFT Woof Pack

Hello, lovelies!  I have 3 quick cards for you today using the MFT Woof Pack set. I'm a huge fan of Birdie Brown and these pups do not disappoint. Love them!

My first card uses repeat stamping in Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers and Carved Pumpkin to create my own patterned paper on the bottom of the card. I added a strip of washi then stamped the sentiment a final time in Versafine Onyx Black.  The begging pup is colored with Copics.

The next card is even simpler.  I used an arched die as a mask and sponged Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers inside it. I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black and added the pup.  Voila!

My final card is just as easy, especially since I used a diecut leftover from using the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Scalloped Add-On.  I used that to represent a flower with the poor puppy scratching away in the center. Just like me and my seasonal allergies!  I curved the MFT Woof Pack sentiment and stamped both it and the Lawn Fawn Dandy Day seeds in Versafine Onyx Black.

I'll see you next week with some cute kittehs! If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

Friday with Amy : Swimming by to say | Avery Elle

Yay for Friday!  It's Amy here with a card featuring Avery Elle:

Avery Elle's latest release is filled with cuteness.  Today I'm featuring the fun Monkey See Monkey Do set.

This underwater scene makes me smile.  I was originally going to do a shaker but decided to just use sequins are the monkey's air bubbles.   The sentiments are a combo from Monkey See Monkey Do and the flag and sentiment from Unicycle.

The copic colors I used:

YR000 | E30
YG01 | YG03
BG10 | BG11 | BG32
C0 | C1

That's it for me, have an awesome weekend!

Tuesday with Toni: Oh, Snap!

Hello, DB fans!  Today's post is going to be a long one.  Sort of a tutorial--more to show my process than to give you a step-by-step for this special birthday card for my brother who turns 60 today.  Geesh.

Btw, I know many of the products I've used have proven quite popular so might be sold out.  The Lawn Fawn Camera dies should be back in stock next week.  I'd suggest you hit the "Subscribe to Back in Stock Notification" so you're notified as soon as products become available again.

Now my card evolved during the making.  I had originally planned for a just 4 MFT Picture Perfect Party Animals to be scattered across the card with the camera centered so I used the new Distress Oxide color Speckled Egg for a neutral background.  This also meant I needed to make this a slimline card for enough room.  The measurements for this one are 8 (scored at 4") x 8.5."

As I was playing around with the layout of the two pics on top, I had great difficulty positioning them to my satisfaction so I decided to add more pics after letting the card sit in the corner to learn to cooperate while I watched TV.

I ended up coloring up an additional MFT Picture Perfect Party Animals image and chopping it up to give the appearance of even more photos on the card.  This meant all of my lovely sponging was for naught.

Note that I could have used the photo size included with the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Camera Pull-Tab Add On for the background pics but I would have had to color even more images.  I'm nuts but I'm not crazy.

To assemble the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Camera Add On and the Pull-Tab Add On I watched the LF video.  It's good. It shows a lot of different options for working with these dies but, of course, I had to do a twist. You'll find in the video that an A2 sized piece of cardstock is used behind the camera.

I wanted all of my background pics to show so cut that down to size, being careful not to cut into the mechanism.

Note I used the Waffle Flower JJ's Rainbows pad for the rainbow strip down the middle of the camera.

For the letters, I used the Mama Elephant Letter Board alpha that fits perfectly along the bottom. I had to get creative to get the message in the photo.

I did find using my tweezers and beloved Gina K glue to be just the thing to get those letters on there without tearing out my hair.  I find the Gina K glue isn't as thick as the others I've used which makes it a lot easier to apply, especially for arthritic hands like mine.

Ah, almost forgot to mention the Copics I used.  It was a LOT.  I kept the colors consistent across the photos but I still ended up with a desk covered in Copics. No photo of the Copics but I listed some of them below.

I'll see you next week!  In the meantime, if you'd like to check out my other creations, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

Friday with Amy: Like Gnome Other | Lawn Fawn

Hooray for Friday!  It's Amy here with a card featuring Lawn Fawn:

I decided to make a shaker rather than a slider card, here's how I was inspired:

Originally I had the bears from the Car Critters set but had the Oh Gnome elements too.  My daughter was actually the one that asked me about the theme.  I thought about it and removed those cute little bears and made the car a convertible and added the gnomes.

So let's start with the paper, it's from the Hello Sunshine REmix.  The base and sentiment strip are a gray pattern.  The top panel is a glorious sunrise.  I packed the top panel with acetate and constructed my shaker.  I had these sprinkles in my stash.  I love them because they're tiny and although not flat, can easily move.  I do love their bright colors, which is a bit out of my normal color palette but coordinated all the stamped images too.  Here are the copics I used:

Y04 | Y08
BG0000
B04 | B05
C00 | C0 | C1
E33 | E53
E41 | E42
W0 | W1

That's it for me, have an awesome weekend!
