Heat Embossing Inspiration

Here's some inspiration for those of you participating in our Heat Embossing Challenge this month.  If you're not participating, you should!  You can find more information and inspiration HERE.

For this card I used the "Cake and Candles" set from Avery Elle.  I heat embossed the sentiment using Ranger Ink's new gold embossing powder onto some Mixed Media Paper by Strathmore.  I painted water over the surface of the paper.  Then painted the colors with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  You can use the pads or the markers for this technique.  Add the color to a non-stick craft mat.  Then pick up the color with a wet brush and "drop" it onto the wet surface.  The water on the surface will blend and move the color.
