...into this.
It's a beautiful Christmas Countdown Calendar filled with 25 seasonal activities. Each tag has a pocket on the back. The pocket has a small tag tucked inside with a fun activity that ties in with Christmas. I love this idea and all the beautiful tags she created. The box is the Mini Library Drawer from 7 Gypsies and most of the papers, tags, and embellishments are from Simple Stories 25 Days of Christmas. This collection is also perfect for Ali Edwards December Daily project.
Below are some additional photos and a couple close-up shots of the tags and the activities. Stop in the store and take a look at all 25 tags and activities, and pick up the supplies to complete this beautiful project before December 1st.
Here are a few other activities/traditions she used:
Buy candy canes and hang on the Christmas Tree.
Bake cookies.
Visit Santa.
Pick out a Christmas Tree.
Decorate the Christmas Tree.
Take food to the local food bank.
Wrap gifts.

ReplyDeleteThanks Cheryl. My mother created this and will appreciate your compliments. I'll be posting a book she created using Graphic 45 Tropical collection soon.
DeleteI just saw it as well. Yay, Pinterest. Where did you get the legs?
ReplyDeleteThe legs are from the Tim Holtz Ideaology collection. We carry them in the store if you are local. If not, I'm sure you can find them at Scrapbooks.com. So glad you liked the project.

ReplyDeletei would love a tutorial on how to make the atc card..this project is beautiful
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a tutorial for this project. We used the Christmas collection from Simple Stories for most of the cards/tags and then created envelopes/pockets to tuck the cards and tags into. The drawer is from 7 Gypsies and the metal legs are from Tim Holtz Ideaology Collection. Hope that helps.
DeleteAbsolutely love this and I am now inspired to make a new countdown thing for my boys this year. Waiting for Echo Park stickers so I can start.xx
ReplyDeleteWe are so glad this has inspired you to create a new countdown calendar for your boys. Thanks for sharing and viewing our blog. Have fun creating!!
DeleteThis is beautiful...Where can I find instructions to put this together? I have drawers and things to make this project including the paper used for the project. Would appreciate any help!
DeleteI'm sorry, we don't have a written tutorial or instructions for this project. We used paper and stickers to embellish tags, creating one for each day counting down to Christmas. We added a pocket to each tag and tucked in a tradition or event to be completed each day. Hope that helps.
DeleteOne of our traditions is to make homemade hot chocolate, put into a thermos, bring some cups and while we drive around the neighborhood and do the oohhhsss and aawwweess of all the outdoor Christmas decorations. It's really a lot of fun... :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your tradition!
DeleteWhere did you purchase the legs for the drawer?
ReplyDeleteWe sell the legs at our store. They are from the Tim Holtz Idea-o-logy collection.
DeleteI have a question that might sound silly..... the activities printed on the tags..... how was that achieved? Were you able to use a printer?
ReplyDeleteYes, we used a printer to print the activities and glued them to the tags. Have a great day!
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful. You are so creative. Thanks for sharing your ideas!
ReplyDeleteThe legs are so cute. Where did you happen to find those? It sets it right off.
Hello- apologies for the delayed response to your questions. We carry the legs in our retail store. They are currently not listed in our online store. However, if you'd like, we'd be happy to create a custom or for you and ship them. I believe they are $7.99 for four legs. If you're interested in purchasing them, please contact us at customerservice@doodlebugswa.com. Have a wonderful day and thank you for the lovely comments.
