Friday with Amy: Lawn Fawn | Yeti or Not...

Happy Friday!  I had so much fun combining new Lawn Fawn with an older set.  Here's how I was inspired:

I ordered a bunch of the newest Lawn Fawn release and was wanting to ink up Yeti or Not.  I'm guessing you wouldn't have thought I'd team it up with Costume Party

So lately I've been inking up all of the images from a set.  Then I need to figure out how to include everything.  My background changed a couple of times but I love the candy corn one, how about you?  Personally, I love candy corn too...what's not to love with loads of sugar?

I teamed up the trick or treat buddies together. Do you notice the unicorn's candy corn theme?   The sentiment is a mashup of both sets on a Simple Wavy Banner.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Bonus Thursday with Toni: Pretty Pink Posh Sunflowers

Hi, everyone! I'm so excited that Doodlebugs has started carrying Pretty Pink Posh again, I just had to share this card sooner rather than later!

I stamped the Pretty Pink Posh Sunflowers on a variety of papers and then fussy cut them out. Ugh. The dies would have been so helpful here. I added a bit of shading with colored pencils and some additional seeds using Copic E49.

I sponged the card base with Distress Oxide Salty Ocean using a Picket Fence Studio Blender Brush. I love that blue against the sunflower's yellows.

Next I stamped the MFT Bring Out the Sunshine sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black.  The image is stamped with the same onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper. I colored her up with Zig Real Brush Watercolors Markers

I did some drawing on this card including the stems running through the sentiment and her outfit.  Had you noticed I gave her striped tights and a shirt? The perfect outfit for transitioning into fall.

Now my friend made the same card, having never made a card before. She'd never stamped, watercolored with Zigs, sponged, or any of it. I think she did a fab job, don't you? So don't be afraid to tackle a design or technique that you think is beyond your current skill-level. You can do it!

Tuesday with Toni: Mama Elephant Little Boo Agenda

Oh, my goodness!  I had such a fun time making these Halloween treat boxes! They may look fancy but are really quite easy to make. Let me show you.

I selected a few 6x6 patterned papers, including one from MFT Fun & Frolic 6x6 Paper. I diecut these using the Lawn Fawn Tiny Gift Box die.  Each box takes up about 3/4 of the sheet so you'll have a strip leftover to use for something else.

I've included a diagram to show where you need to fold and apply tape (I highly recommend Scor-Tape for this; it's strong and yet easily torn by hand). You can also view the Lawn Fawn video about box assembly.

Now it's time to decorate the boxes, my favorite part! I cut out a bunch of ghosts from Mama Elephant Little Boo Agenda as well as the house and tree from MFT Spooktacular Friends.  I colored them up very quickly with Copics.

Some of the boxes are fancy with a house, tree or moon attached on the back (using Gina K Connect Glue). Or even fancier with a ghost or sentiment popping out at you when you open the box. Others I kept more simple but still super cute.

I'm planning to fill these with a mini Reese's Cup but like the day before I give them out. Otherwise, I'd have to buy twice as many as I need to account for those that end up being eaten beforehand. LOL.

Friday with Amy: Sunny Studio Stamps | Fall Fun

I love my Doodlebugs weekly posts.  It has me on my toes and mixing and matching sets.  It also means that it is FRIDAY!  Today I'm sharing a couple of Sunny Studio Stamps cards.  I'm in a bit of a fall mode so these had me happily crafting.

I went a bit crazy and stamped out the Sunny Studio Stamps Elegant Leaves set 4 times in 4 different Oxide Inks:

That's why you see all those leaves scattered on both of my projects.  Let's chat about my 'Thankful' card first:

I started off with a kraft 4.25 x 4.25 panel.  I trimmed down a white panel to 4.0 x 4.0.  I did some light stencil work with a stencil I had in my stash using Distress Oxide Tea Dye.

I stamped the Thankful sentiment in Broken China and fussy cut it out.

I'm loving this color combo for fall inspired designs, how about you?

If you've been following me for any amount of time, you know that I'm a coffee-a-holic.  I love the liquid form and all things caffeinated in stamps.   I combined Sunny Studio Mug Hugs with Elegant Leaves.

I started with another 4.25 x 4.25 kraft panel.  I used a 4.0 x 4.0 panel from the Sunny Studio Amazing Argyle Paper Pad.  I used an oval die and ran it through my die cut machine.

I heat embossed the sentiment in white on the kraft panel.

I stamped and copic colored the two coffee cups.  I used various copics:

YR04 | YR14 | YR16
BG07 | BG09
E44
TO | T2

I played around with the different leaves that I had left over and manage to place them in a manner that made me happy.  I topped off the blue mug with sprinkles on the foam.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
