Hello from Toni: Mama Elephant Toasty Friends

Hello, Doodlebugs fans! I really enjoyed making today's card featuring Mama Elephant Toasty Friends with a Sunny Studio Winter Scene backdrop.

I stamped the various images using Versafine Onyx Black onto my favorite paper, Strathmore Bristol Smooth.  I then watercolored everything using Zigs (010, 020, 030, 035, 042, 044, 050, 052, 072, 082, 092, and 400).

I used Polychromos (101, 115, 179, 181, 199, 225, and 234) to add details to the Mama Elephant Toasty Friends images, darkening shadows and such. I even used PC white to cover up where I had totally misjudged where the shadow from the fire would be created on the dog and sheep. Talk about lifesaver pencil.

I diecut the panel then decided I didn't like how that looked so I put the diecut edge back onto the card base using foam tape so it looks like I a deliberate feature.  I'm so sneaky!  LOL.

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.

I decided to play with the super fun new collection by Doodlebug Designs, Pumpkin Spice:

I struggled with my cardstock choices.  I love everything in that 6x6.  I managed to combine 4 different patterns.  I was cracking myself up when I typed up that sentiment.  I'm sorry, I had to do it.  It always cracks me up.  The Doodle-Pop stickers are so much fun.  They are so over the top cute and happy.

My copic colors:

BG10 | BG32

Christmas Greetings with Avery Elle...

Hi everyone!!! Mayra here with you today!!! I am always excited to be here and to share projects with you.  Can you believe we are in November already ?! WOW!!! You know what that means...time to get started on Christmas Cards (if you are like me, lol)!!!

I created this Christmas card and tag set to share with you.
I used the super, super cute Peek- A- Boo Christmas Train stamp set by Avery Elle. I also used the adorable Peek-A-Boo Fair stamp set for the unicorn and the Cocoa Stand stamp set for the bear and hot chocolate.

I began by coloring all of my images using Copic markers. For the reindeer, I used E41, E31, and E34.
For the polar bear, I used E41 and E40. For the unicorn, I used E40, E41, and E50
For the red areas, I used R17, R05, and R22. For the soft pink areas, I used R21, R01, and R00.
For the green areas, I used YG25, YG03, and YG01.

Next, I used the larger die from the Postage Stamp Elle-ments die set to die cut a frame for my card. I also used the large and small tags from the set to die cut the tags using the pattern paper from the Avery Elle Spring Collection 6x6 Paper Pad. I then added a bit of color to a smaller piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock using Distress Oxide Inks. I started with Tattered Rose, then Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, and Candied Apple (Distress Ink). I then added a couple of splatters of water and dried them off with a paper towel. I then stamped the sentiments onto the card and tags using Lawn Fawn Ink in Black Licorice and Jet Black Ink

I hope you enjoy the card and tags I created to share with you today.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to stop by.
I pray you each have a wonderful and blessed day.

the pattern paper for the tag is from the Avery Elle Spring Collection 6x6 Paper Pad

Hello from Toni: Sunny Studio Farm Fresh

Hello, everyone!  Can you believe it's November already?!  Soon I'll transition to holiday cards only but not quite today.

Today's cards feature Sunny Studio Farm Fresh. Such cute images!

The first card is a slimline that uses the Sunny Studio Slimline Nature Borders to build the basics of the scene.  I sponged the card base in Distress Oxide Speckled Egg, the clouds remain white, the hills in Scattered Straw or Peeled Paint and the grassy hill in Peeled painted as well.

I colored up the images using Copics except for where I paper-pieced the scarecrow's clothes, in part using MFT Party Plaid 6x6 Paper. So cute!  I embossed the Sunny Studio Harvest Mice sentiment as an extension of the fence. You can also see that I used the Sunny Studio Slimline Nature Borders for a grass mask.

For the next card I masked the card base and stamped the Sunny Studio Farm Fresh barn image. I stenciled in some clouds using the Sunny Studio Slimline Nature Border as a mask.

I then colored up the images using Copics.  I paper-pieced the scarecrow again using scraps. I wish I could color up patterns like that!

I'll see you again soon.  If you'd like to check out my other creations in the meantime, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, my Instagram, or my Pinterest Board.
