Tuesday with Toni - MFT Sweet Celebration

Hello! Last week was the birthday of my friend, Amy, who also happens to be a member of the Doodlebugs Creative Team. It was so hard to wait until after her birthday to post this so she wouldn't get a sneak peek of the card!

I sponged the card base with Distress Oxides using a Picket Fence Studios Blender Brush. The smallest size was perfect for making these narrow bands of color.

I next stamped and colored the MFT SY Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes images with Copics.  They are soooo cute!

I wanted to create a scene (always! lol) so used a variety of the Sunny Studio Comic Strip Sunny Snippets dies.

These have so many coordinating pieces--a brilliant set to have on hand for sure. I especially love the speech bubbles.  I like the different shapes and sizes.  I stamped the MFT SY Sending Sweet Celebration Wishes onto two of them using Versafine Onyx Black.

I adhered everything else down with Gina K Connect Glue. Notice how the banner is popped up?  I did that just by gluing down the two ends a bit close together so the paper would pop up naturally.  It lays perfectly flat in the envelope but pops right back up. Cool!

Friday with Amy: Paper Smooches | Choose to Shine

Hey, Happy Friday to you!  Did you see that the shop is carrying some of the super cute Paper Smooches products?  Today I'm featuring:

Let's start with the Cuppa Sunshine die.  I cut it several times because I have the habit of misplacing some of the smaller parts.  I colored everything with the following copics:

Y06 | Y08
V01 | V12

My white panel was made using different shaped circle dies.

If you know me, I love any caffeinated designs and this particular Paper Smooches releases makes me a happy crafter.

The Sunnyville set has so many fun images and sentiments.  Who can resist that sweet sun with sunglasses?

That's it for me today!  I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Tuesday with Toni - MFT Friends with Fins

Hello, everyone!  I cannot believe it's August already, can you? Just a few more weeks of warm weather so best be getting those summer cards in!

Today's card features MFT Friends with Fins. I love these whales and dolphins. Personally I think they will look so cute with Santa hats and scarves. Yes, I'm thinking about Christmas cards already!

My first step was to sponge Distress Oxides for the water with Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tools.  I then cut this panel using MFT Ocean Waves. I set that aside to dry thoroughly before embossing the sentiment with Versamark and Ranger White Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder.

In the meantime I sponged the MFT Ray of Light stencil using MFT Lemon Drop and a Picket Fence Studios Blender Brush. So cheery. I then stamped and colored the MFT Friends with Fins images using Copics.

Gray can be rather blah so I added lots of dots using Copic 00 and the darker grays.

Final touches including adding Ranger Glossy Accents to the spouting water and a Mini Action Wobble Spring to the dolphin. I tucked his tail behind the water so it looks like he's jumping right out at you. So very fun!

Friday with Amy: Sunny Studio Stamps | Flying by...

Hi and Happy Friday!  Today I'm sharing a card that features some fun new Sunny Studio Stamps!

I couldn't wait to ink up the new Plane Awesome set.  If you don't follow me on my social media accounts you might not know that my husband is a pilot.  It's his hobby and I'm so fortunate to be able to join him on trips.  So this particular set is right up my alley.

I teamed it up with the new Fluffy Clouds Sunny Snippets and Frilly Frames Hexagon Sunny Snippets.  I was pretty pleased that the Broken China - Distress Oxide matched perfectly with the aqua cardstock I had on hand.  The interior rectangle has been inked up with Broken China.  Aren't the Fluffy Clouds awesome?

I coordinated my copic markers with the cardstock.  I do love the unexpected pop of lime from his flying goggles.  Do you see the 'movement' in the propellor?  So fun, love that little detail.  Here are the copics I used:

R17 | R27
R20
YG01 | YG03
BG10
BG13 | BG15
E40 | E42
TO | T2
C9

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  See you next Friday!
