Tuesday with Toni - MFT SY Friendly Foxes

Hello, friends! As you have probably gathered I'm a huge fan of Stacy Yacula so was beyond chuffed when she started designing for MFT. It's like your two favorite people in the world got married--LOL.

Today I'm celebrating their happy union with two cards using the MFT SY Friendly Foxes set.

With the first card I combined two of the MFT SY Friendly Foxes with Purple Onion Stacey Yacula stamps. Adorable, no?

I just did some quick watercoloring using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers (060, 050, 091, 047, 043). Of course, I used my favorite Zig Real Brush Blender!

For the second card I created a little woodland scene using the Hero Arts August 2016 Fairies Kit Frame Die.

I applied Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Salty Ocean to the card base using Picket Fence Studios Blender Brushes and spattered with water.

I used Copics on this one.  To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed with Ranger Super Fine White Embossing Powder.

Now before I go, I want you to take a look at this little guy. Would he fit the MFT Interactive Swing dies? Food for thought!

Tuesday with Toni - Lawn Fawn Hammock and Trees

Hello, everyone!  Have I a fun card to share today! The idea occurred to me when I noticed the hammock from Lawn Fawn Hammock and Trees die set resembled a pea pod. What, what?!

For the background I diecut a piece of Lawn Fawn Spiffy Speckles 6x6 Paper with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Cloud Portrait Backdrop. For the sand I used Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders and Simple Stitched Hillside Borders cut from kraft cardstock. I brushed the hills lightly with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo and sprinkled with water.  I then dotted it with Copics.

Next I diecut the Lawn Fawn Hammock and Trees which I sponged with Distress Oxides. I used Gina K Connect Glue to adhere them to the card front.

Time for the fun part!  I cut out a bunch of Lawn Fawn Be Hap-pea peas and colored them with Copics. I colored one of the pea pods like a beach towel too. So cute!

For the sentiment I combined one from Lawn On the Beach and one from Lawn Fawn Keep on Swimming.  They are stamped in Versamark and embossed with Ranger White Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder. I added a Memory Box Cheerful Crab and starfish for even more cuteness!

Tuesday with Toni - Sunny Studio Best Fishes

Why, HELLO there!  LOL.  These Sunny Studio Best Fishes critters crack me up, especially the hammerhead shark.  He's just so so cute!  Let's dive right in, shall we?

I started the card by sponging the background with Distress Oxide Salty Ocean and spattering it with water.  While that was drying I stamped out all of the Sunny Studio Best Fishes images onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper using Versafine Onyx Black.

I colored up the images using Zig Real Brush markers, including the blender pen which is my go-to now for detailed watercoloring. Love this tool!

I cut out the MFT Photo Booth Strip die and determined the layout of the critters, in, behind, around, and on top of the strip. Love!  I adhered everything using Gina K Connect Glue except for the googly eyes where I used Ranger Glossy Accents.

I stamped the Sunny Studio Best Fishes sentiment using Versamark, then embossed it using Ranger White Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder.  NOTE: Be sure your background is completely dry before doing this or else the powder may end up in unwanted places.  I diecut the MFT # Caption from the bright pink packaging of my razors. Upcycling for sure!

I hope you've enjoyed today's card.  You can check out my other creations on my blog, Frankie Helps Craft, or on Instagram.  Have a fintastic rest of your week!

Tuesday with Toni: MFT Bring Out the Sunshine

Hello, lovelies! I hope you're having a fabulous sunshiney day! I've been preparing a make n take for a group of friends that gather together periodically to get our craft on. The challenge is designing something that can be made somewhat quickly and still offer customization.  BTW, if you're unfamiliar with the term, think of a make n take as a card kit.

I decided to use the MFT BB Bring Out the Sunshine set, thinking I could have the gals paper-piece the dress from whatever paper they chose. I had done that with this version below. BUT, a bunch of ladies with knives?  Hmm, maybe not. LOL.

Instead I stamped her with Versafine Onyx Black onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper and watercolored her using Zig Real Brush markers.

I watercolored the dress inspired by a piece of Doodlebugs French Kiss 6x6 paper.  See the swirly flowers, random leaves and blue dots representing the darker blue flowers?  And now I get to keep that pretty paper in my stash and the gals have an inkling of what they could design.

For the card base, I sponged the MFT Ray of Light stencil with Distress Oxide Mustard Seed.  The MFT BB Bring Out the Sunshine image is cut out using a Waffle Flower Lacy Layers die and adhered with Scor-Tape.  The sentiment (I love this so!) is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.  As a final touch, I added freckles using Copics.

The other card I had designed using this set is below.  You can read more about it on my blog and check out my other creations either there or on Instagram.  See you soon!
