You Make Life Sweet!

Here's one of my latest art journal pages.  I thought this would be cute on a canvas with the saying, "I love you more than cupcakes!"

Are you interested in creating mixed media projects like this?  If so, you won't want to miss our Mixed Media Class, scheduled for June.  It's EASY and FUN!!  I'll walk you through several EASY steps for creating wonderful backgrounds like this.  A perfect canvas for any image.  Then, we'll add the "doll" image using a stamp, and the quote.

Project Life Thursday!

PROJECT LIFE UPDATE:  I just spoke with my account rep at American Crafts.  He's confident we should have the Project Life product, in stock within the next 30 days (most likely sooner).  Once they arrive, we'll be offering a FREE package of Project Life page protectors with the purchase of any Core Project Life Kit.  We'll send out information as soon as they arrive.

It's time for Liesl's Project Life post!  Not only does she have some great ideas, but I love the new app she suggested for doodling and writing on your Instagram photos!  Want to check out the app?  Here's the link to A Beautiful Mess website where you can find all the details regarding their app.

Many of you have asked what Photo A Day list she's using on Instagram.   For those interested, she just switched to #fmsphotoaday @fatmumslim on Instagram.  She was using @theidearoom on Instagram for her photo a day posts.

What's New Wednesday

Adhesive Update:

 Adhesive Update:  Our favorite adhesive has been discontinued (sad face).  We have been working hard the past couple of weeks to find a comparable adhesive.  We found it!  It is the same adhesive, made by the same company.  However, it comes in a more compact dispenser.

We do currently have a few of the "old style" dispensers left, that we are selling at the refill price.  However, once they are gone, you'll need to switch to the new dispenser if you want the same adhesive.  We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you'll be happy with the new adhesive.

For a limited time, we'll be offering a 50%  trade in discount on the new dispenser to help offset the cost of switching.  Bring in your "old style" dispenser (shown below) and we'll give you the new one at 50% off.

Inktense Pencils from Derwent

DERWENT Inktense Pencils are pure, vibrant watersoluble ink pencils that combine the intensity of pen and ink with the versatility of line and wash. Use them to create strong vivid tones then wash over with water for a translucent ink-like effect. Once dry; this color wash is permanent and can be worked again using other media. I wanted to share a couple of cards made with the NEW Digits Stamp Set and Die Set from Paper Smooches.  I'm loving how you can use this set to customize your birthday cards with a specific age.

Project Life Thursday

We're switching our Project Life weekly post to Thursday.  We sure hope you are enjoying Liesl's page layouts and her Project Life Book.

I like how Liesl used the Die-namics Doily Dies from MFT Stamps this week.  I use those dies often on my cards, but never thought of using them for journaling.

 

 She used Thickers from American Crafts for her lettering and some yellow polka dot washi tape for some accents.  (LOVE washi tape!)
