Friday with Amy: Paper Smooches | Hello

Yay and Happy Friday!  It's Amy and I have a rainbow themed card today.  It features goodies from Paper Smooches:

Caffeinated stamps

Caffeinated dies

Hallow Hello dies

Here's how I was inspired:

Boba or Bubble Tea, have you tried it?  I didn't take the plunge until a couple years ago.  I'm allergic to lactose so I never really tried it, when I did, I was hooked.  Paper Smooches' Caffeinated set has both a bubble tea and to go cup in the set.  

I've been on a bit of a rainbow kick.  Originally I started to copic color all the drinks and then thought of a quicker method, paper piecing.  The straws have been copic colored, that was quick.  

The 'pearls' have been stamped with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide.

Don't you love the layered hello?  I cut the bottom layer in black and the skinnier layer in white.

Tuesday with Toni: MFT Zippy Zebras

Hello, everyone! Today is all about fun stripes and absolutely NO coloring. When was the last time I did a card without any sort of coloring?!

 

Both of today's cards use the MFT Zippy Zebras set. There is just something about these zebras that called to me--quirky and fun, aren't they?  Both cards also use the MFT Hearts Entwined die.

For the first card, I diecut MFT Hearts Entwined out of the MFT Sweet Stack 6x6 pad. I cut two additional layers in black to create a stack.

I assembled the stack and filled in the hearts like a little puzzle then used foam tape to position two of the MFT Zippy Zebras on top. The MFT More Essential Sentiments is embossed on one of the MFT Skinny Strips.

The second card was even quicker. I cut the MFT Hearts Entwined die out of red and tacked it down on the card front just at the bottom. I then layered the MFT More Essential Sentiment embossed on one of the MFT Skinny Strips on top. Finally came the MFT Zippy Zebra.

I love the simplicity, the boldness and the dimension!

Here's how it all came together:

I really wanted to make this one an interactive design but I've been fighting this really horrible cold that has me so tired and in bed for most of the day.  Hopefully by the time this posts I will be all better!

I started off knowing that I wanted to create a room scenery.  That chevron floor paper is vintage from my stash and perfect for my scenery.

I colored the desk to look scandinavian style made out of pecan wood and white lacquer.    Of course the desk accessories are pink!

Doesn't everyone have a framed coffee mug in their office?

Tuesday with Toni: MFT Mermazing Valentine

Hello, Doodlebugs fans! I'm in full Valentine cardmaking mode. I thought I would pull out some sets that haven't seen much love lately. Even stamps need a little love sometimes. ;-)

I used the MFT Mermazing set, coloring her up with Copics.  A few Lawn Fawn Christmas Fishes heart bubbles are also colored with Copics.

I used retired MFT Let's Get Nautical dies for the porthole but the Lawn Fawn Porthole Frames are a good substitute.

I added a bit of Distress Oxide Weathered Wood around the porthole to spotlight it a bit.  You can see the shadow best in the lower right of the porthole in these pics.

I added ocean waves on top using the MFT Ocean Waves dies as a die but also as a mask so I could sponge Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers waves too.
