Love when I find a stamp that can be used to create more than one, very different look. This stamp is all about hugs, but contains images that are very different. Today, we're sharing two cards using the Hugs stamp set from Concord and 9th!
Both cards were stamped onto watercolor paper and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.
The bear image was stamped using Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress ink onto watercolor paper. This stamps a very light image that disappears once the you apply the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and water. It's hard to see in the image, but the hearts are die cut from watercolor paper, and colored with the Clean Color Real Brush markers and the Clear Wink of Stella.
For the Freshly Squeezed card, we stamped the images onto watercolor paper using Black VersaFine ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. The lemons and limes were colored with the Clean Color Real Brush markers and embellished with the Clear Wink of Stella.

Recipe for Happiness
We love the chefs from the Recipe for Happiness stamp set from MFT Stamps. We decided he would look cute flipping his frying pan up in the air. So, we grabbed the Spin and Slide Discs from MFT stamps and went to work creating a frying pan that would spin in the air!
We secured the frying pad to the spin and slide disc. Placed it through a small hole we created in the background of the card, lining it up with the light grey pans we stamped on the background, and then attaching it to a round, die cut circle. This makes the pan spin.
The chef and pan were stamped onto watercolor paper, and colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.
Here's a look at the spin and slide discs. They are perfect for slider cards too!

Altenew Beautiful Day
We had such fun last weekend creating this card for our Monthly Card Club. We used the Beautiful Day stamp set from Altenew and Tim Holtz Distress Inks to create this faux bleached look.
The floral image was stamped and embossed onto watercolor paper that we cut using the Blueprints #13 from MFT Stamps. Once that was complete, we applied Distress Ink to the watercolor paper, using the Ink Blending Tool. We blended the ink from the bottom up, creating a heavier look at the bottom, and a softer, lighter took towards the top.
To lighten the ink inside the flower petals and leaves, we applied a liberal amount of water to the petal, allowed for it to sit for a few seconds, then removed it with a paper towel. Do not rub the paper towel. Press the paper towel firmly over the top of the petal and lift. This will remove the water as well as some of the color. Repeat this step for all the petals and leaves. To remove more color, repeat the same steps.
It's very difficult to see in the photograph, but we did cover the petals and leaves with Clear Wink of Stella once we were done. It added a wonderful, soft shimmer to the flower. The metallic paint splatter (again, difficult to see) is from the Gansai Tambi Starry Colors (shown below). We used the silver.
