Bundles of Blossoms from MFT Stamps

Last week we showed a sneak peek at some fun backgrounds we were making using the Bundles of Blossoms background stamp from MFT Stamps.  Today we're sharing one of the finished cards.

To create the background we stamped it with VersaMark ink onto Mixed Media paper (or watercolor paper) and then heat embossed it with Super Fine Gold embossing powder from Ranger Ink.  After embossing, we added some Tim Holtz Distress Ink to a non stick craft sheet, sprayed it liberally with water, and "smooshed" our image into the puddles of color.

We created lots of backgrounds experimenting with different embossing powders, Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  It was fun seeing the different results.  We will be sure to share them with you over the next few weeks.

We cut the word "grateful" and the heart, from Mixed Media cardstock, and heat embossed it with the same embossing powder.  The sentiment is stamped onto vellum and heat embossed again, with the same embossing powder.  The decorative edge was cut using the Stitched Scallop Basic Edge die set from MFT Stamps (one of my new favorites).

Big Hugs from Neat and Tangled

We're sharing a quick and easy card today.  We used the Big Hugs die from Neat and Tangled along with the Heart Strings stamp set from Concord & 9th to create this card.

After cutting Big Hugs from Silver cardstock, we inked it with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with Metallic Silver Sparkle embossing powder from Wow!
