Gift With Purchase!
Happy Monday everyone! We're starting off the week with a special "Gift with Purchase" for you, our wonderful customers.
So, stop in and purchase $35 or more (before tax) and we'll give you a set of FOUR Mr. Huey stencils. Gift with Purchase is available while supplies last.
Here's some fun cards we created using these stencils.
For this card, we used some painters tape to mask off a tree shape on the stencil. Then used some Distress Inks and an ink blending tool to add color. The little stars and sentiment are from Mama Elephant's, Merry Greeting set.
We cut a circle from masking paper and applied the negative (open circle area) to the front of this card. We then used the stencil, ink blending tool, and ink to apply the pattern to the open area of the stencil. Remove the making paper, and you're left with a lovely patterned circle. The ornament topper and string are from the Merry and Bright set from Avery Elle.
We used the same technique to create this card.

Lawn Fawn- Stitched Snowflake Die
Today we're sharing a winter or Holiday card using the Stitched Snowflake Lawn Cuts from Lawn Fawn. The card is super simple and incorporates one of our favorite techniques, watercolor.
To duplicate this sort of background, you'll need some watercolor or mixed media paper. We used Tim Holtz Distress Inks selecting some blues and purples. Once you've chosen your colors, apply the ink to a non-stick surface, spray liberally with water and then "smash" your paper into the ink. I twist the paper from side to side, just a bit, before lifting it up from the ink. Set it aside to dry, or use a heat tool to speed up the process.
Apply the die cut snowflake and stamp your sentiment. Our sentiment came from a Mama Elephant stamp set, Merry Greetings. We love the mix of fonts used for these sentiments.
We did add some Stardust Stickles to the snowflake, although it's hard to see in the above image. We also added a small bow that we tied using the silver twine we have in our ribbon section.

Tim Holtz- Alterations Layered Leaf
Love this die! Mary has been busy making all sorts of projects with the Tim Holtz Alterations, Layered Leaf die and embossing folder. Today we thought we'd feature a Fall card adorned with one of the beautiful leaves she created.
Cut the shape from watercolor or mixed media paper and emboss with the included embossing folder (bonus!). Use your Distress Inks and Ink blending tool from Tim Holtz to apply some Fall colors to the leaf. Then, cover it with clear embossing ink, clear embossing powder, and heat. Here's a close up look at the leaf.

She added some wonderful touches to the card with the Uniball Gel pen creating stitches around the edges. She also used the wood dots. I've been dying to use those dots in a project, but never manage to include them. They are perfect for Fall projects!

Hero Arts - Fall Watercolor Leaf Card
I love fall and all the beautifully colored leaves! It was my inspiration for this Saturday's "Make and Take" and today's card. Both were created using the same watercolor technique. I inked the stamp with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Any Fall colors will work. I applied orange first and then used a green or purple around the edges.
Stamp the image on watercolor or mixed media paper and then use a wet paint brush to activate and move the colors.
I also used a wet brush with color to "flick" some color onto the card around the leaf.
Here are the results.
Here's a close up look at the leaf.
If you're in town on Saturday, stop by for our FREE "Make and Take". We'll be using the same technique to create the card below. Our "Make and Take" is available between 1PM and 3PM, while supplies last.

What's New Wednesday
Happy Wednesday everyone! We have some fun, new products for you this week. As always, we don't have enough space to include everything new, so be sure to stop by for a look.
Seems like everyone is working on their Christmas cards. We've had lots of people in purchasing stamps, paper, and Holiday embellishments. Every year, many of these items sell out and cannot be restocked before the Holidays. So, if you've had your eye on something, don't wait too long. You might miss out.
We just received some new, and restocked some favorite, Holiday embellishments. Here are a few of our favs this year. I love the round, epoxy embellishments. They would make a great Holiday magnet gift set, would look wonderful in the center of a hand-made paper poinsettia, or would be the perfect accent for your December Daily book.
Just in case you missed these a few weeks ago. We have them back in stock.
I thought these dies would make wonderful, glittered gift tags. Since they are the steel ruled dies, you can cut them from chipboard, paint and glitter them for some wonderful accents to your packages! The snowflake die comes with a coordinating embossing folder!
Here a some beautiful embossing folders from Brenda Walton.
This new collection, DIY, from Simple stories is perfect for your hand-made Holiday gifts. They have some fun labels for dressing up your canning jars (jams, jellies, cookie mixes), envelope labels, all the "fixings" for creating quick and easy Holiday cards, tags, and so much more. You've got to stop in for a look at all this cool stuff. View a quick video, HERE, to preview the entire collection.
Looking for a great gift for the teen on your list? How about these wonderful Instagram albums? I love these cute little albums! We have an assortment of styles, including these cute polka dot albums in SHS Wolves colors! You can watch a quick video, HERE, showcasing the wonderful features of these albums.
Be sure to join us on Saturday for our FREE "Make and Take". We'll be using a leaf stamp from Hero Arts to create this beautiful, watercolor card. Our "Make and Take" is available between 1PM and 3PM, while supplies last.
