Friday's Creative Cafe

Sequim's 1st Annual Balloon Festival begins tomorrow.  So, we thought it would be appropriate to make a hot air  balloon card.  We'll be using Lifestylecrafts Hot Air Balloon die and an Action Wobble to make your balloon move on the card.  If you haven't seen how the Action Wobbles work, be sure to stop in and make the card.  This week's project is only $2.

What's New Wednesday

 

It's time for "What's New Wednesday"!  Once again, we've received so much new merchandise that we can't fit it in our back room.  It's piled on the floor, outside the door!!   So, I'll give you a peek and what's arrived this week, but for the full preview, you'll have to stop in.

The first image is  of Simple Stories Fall and Christmas collections.  I love them both, but I'm especially fond of the the Fall collection.  I love all of those warm and cozy colors.  It makes me wish for fall (my favorite time of year).  Did I really say that?  We waited so long for summer!

We have a couple of friends from Victoria, BC  (we actually have lots of wonderful friends/customers from Victoria) that brought my attention to these wonderful and funny stamps from Art Impressions.  We have a few styles now, and plan on carrying more after the holidays once we have more room.  

Finally, the reason for that awesome embossing folder coupon last week.  We now have room for our new embossing folders from Sizzix and Lifestylecrafts.  I believe we have 8 or 10 new styles.  So, stop in for a look!

Hero Arts & Sizzix Stamp and Cut Set

I think I'm in love!  I've been having so much fun playing with this stamp and cut set from Sizzix and Hero Arts.  It's so versatile and can be used to create several completely different looks for your cards and scrapbook pages.  I thought I'd post a few of the projects we created last month using this set.  I hope they inspire you to create something fun.

I think the flower above makes a GREAT sun!

We put the butterfly on an Action Wobble after we cut it!  It's so cute and I love how it "wobbles".

There are three different types of flowers in this set.

 Again, I love using the flower die and stamp as a sun.

Make it Monday

What's New Wednesday

 

Wow!  What a week we've had.  We have had so much new products arrive from the Summer CHA Show, that we have run out of room in our back room.  As I write this, we have boxes piled in our party section of the store.  Cross your fingers, that we will get it checked in and put out sometime today.

Now, for what's new and on the shelf today.

We have loads of new Halloween merchandise that has, and is still arriving.  I love the new Martha Stewart Halloween Carnival Party supplies.   I think it's my favorite for Halloween this year.  I can't wait to get started on the windows.

For you Washi Tape lovers!  We have about 12 - 15 new Washi Tape designs from Queen and Company.

Finally, more Ranger and Tim Holtz products.  We have the Metallic Distress Stains and the Emboss It Dabber.   The Metallic Distress Stains have the same qualities as Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  That means they will blend and react with water in the same way.  The Emboss It Dabber is great for applying embossing ink to large surfaces or stamps.  So, if you are planning on doing any embossing this Holiday season, you'll want to have one of these.

Halloween Mummy

I realize it's a little early for Halloween.  However, we received approximately 20 boxes of Halloween merchandise over the past week.  So, we've got Halloween on our mind.  I saw this idea on Pinterest a few weeks ago.  They used juice boxes (great idea) but I thought it would be a cute way to "jazz" up a mini paint can.  It can be filled with Halloween treats, flowers, cake pops or lollipops and used for center pieces, or use a bigger can and you've got a great candy bucket for trick or treaters.

I wrapped the paint can with white duck tape and added googly eyes.  EASY!!  We've got all three items (googly eyes, paint cans, and duck tape) in stock now.

We're Back!

We're back from our cruise to Alaska and wanted to share a couple of our photos with you.  The landscape and wildlife is similar to that of the Pacific Northwest.  However, I was amazed by the ice and glaciers.  I must have 100 photos of Glacier Bay alone.

This photo was taken in Glacier Bay.  I believe it is the Margerie Glacier.

The next photo was taken in Juneau, at the Mendenhall Glacier.

What's New Wednesday

It's Wednesday....and we've got some fun, new products to share with you.

Everyday Eclectic from Echo Park Papers has arrived just in time for Sequim's first Hot Air Balloon Festival.   We also have several other collections featuring hot air balloons and a  couple of stamps and dies.  So, if you are planning to attend the festival, and would like to scrapbook it, stop in for your supplies now.

Waste Not Paper produces all of their paper products domestically and practices policies that are good for our environment.  You can view their policies here.  We are proud to offer their paper products and love some of their new, fun wrapping paper designs.  We have a wood grain print, an adorable animal print (perfect for baby showers), an owl print (everyone loves owls), and a fun nautical print.  We also have several other new prints.
