Paper Smooches Stamps- Tee-riffic

A perfect  card for the golfers in your life.  Change it up with some pink, and it's a great card for your girlfriends.  The stamp is from the "My Guy" set from Paper Smooches.  I colored it with Copic markers and cut it with Labels One Spellbinders die set.

Back in stock is the "Birthday Buddies" set from Paper Smooches.  This was a popular set.  Get it before it's gone again.

What's New Wednesday

It's time for "What's New Wednesday."

Many of you have been interested in the increased number of companies that are now manufacturing their products in the USA.  So, we've decided to take a more assertive role in communicating that information to you.  Throughout our emails and blog posts, you will notice a "Made in the USA" button designating a company that produces some or all of their products in the USA.  While it is not always possible, we do make an effort to conduct business with those companies.  We know, when given a choice, you'd prefer to do the same.

So, back to what's new this week.  Once again, we've got too many products to fit in the three small squares above.  So, we've picked a few of our favorites.

JustRite Stamps has several new stamps that also work with coordinating Spellbinders dies.  I love working with stamps that have coordinating dies.  I hate "fussy cutting"!  I'm never happy with the results.  These dies and stamps work perfectly together!  We also, have several of their beach and nautical stamps back in stock.

Doodlebug Designs has some adorable, and whimsical alphabet sticker sets.  There are 435 letters on each sheet!  We have them in 8 fun colors.

Finally, to all of you Tim Holtz fans.....his Summer Seasonal Distress inks have arrived.  Stop in or call if you'd like a set.  We'd be happy to hold a set for you until you can make it in.  With that order, we also received another order of Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  We only have three sets left, with the next order still a couple of weeks out.  If you've been thinking about these, don't wait too long.  They'll be gone soon.

Seaside Card with JustRite Stamps

This stamp set, from JustRite Stamps, is great for creating masculine cards.  I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it with Spellbinders Labels 22 die set.  The paper is from K& Company's new beach collection.

UR Fabulous!

Today I'm sharing a card made with one of the Ala Mode stamps from MFT Stamps.  Isn't she fabulous?  She comes with a few other cute sayings....UR number 1 or UR Sweet.  Love 'em both.  I colored her with Copic markers and stamped the UR on some fun, zebra style paper.  I then cut it out and added it to the card.

What's New Wednesday

It's time again for "What's New Wednesday"! 

Just in yesterday, Mini Doilies Die-Namics from My Favorite Things.  Get them before they are gone.  Doilies are "hot" right now and difficult to keep in stock.   Our Lifestyle Crafts Doily dies sold out a few months ago in less than a week.  If you missed them, they are back in stock.

The second image is two of MANY new stamps we received from Impression Obsession.  We've got several new background stamps, some beautiful scenes (perfect for coloring with Copics and Distress Markers), and some great new sentiments.

Finally, the last image is our BRAND NEW local die cuts.  Great for scrapbooking local travel and perfect for your summer guests.   We also have Seattle, Washington, Olympic Game Farm and much more.  Stop in for a look.

Make it Monday

Stop in today  between 1PM and 3PM.  We're making mini albums from mini envelopes!  These are perfect for summer and travel.  Tuck tickets, pieces of maps and other memorabilia inside  the envelopes that make up the pages of these books.  This week's project is $5.

Creative Cafe Project

Join us today between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM.  We'll be making birthday cards similar to the one shown here.  We'll be using Copic markers and Stickles to embellish the candles.  So, if you haven't had a chance to try these products, be sure to stop by.  This week's project is $3.

What's New Wednesday

This week we're featuring the new Cake Walk collection from October Afternoon.  It's fun, colorful, and can be used for everyday as well as birthdays and celebrations.  There are also TWO new washi tapes with this collection.

The middle image features some of the new albums from American Crafts.  The red and grey are beautifully embroidered.  The black album has been silk screened with tiny images of cameras.  It's fun and perfect for a family album.

Finally, the Forth of July is just around the corner and will be here before you know it.  We have a few new papers and embellishments for your favors, cards, invites and party decorations.

The biggest news this week......Tim Holtz has released his Summer Seasonal Distress Ink.  We've ordred them and they should be here next week.  Make sure you get your set!  Call us, we'll put you on the pre-order list and give you a ring when they arrive.  As always, these are limited and will sell out quickly.

You're a Hoot

I've been dying to play with the Tim Holtz new Distress Markers.  So, I put them to work on this cute owl stamp from Hero Arts.  I simply colored in the areas directly on the stamp with the markers.  Once I was done coloring the image, I used the moisture from my breath to reactivate the ink and stamped it on some smooth white paper.  Ta-da....it was that easy.   I used one of the new 4x4 alphabet dies from Lifestyle Crafts and cork paper to spell out "Hoot".  The other two words were from my paper smooches stamp sets.

I created this next card using My Favorite Things  Hot Air Balloon stamp set and their matching dies.  I colored the balloon with Copic markers and used the matching die to cut it out.  I stamped the clouds (there is a matching die for that too) on my background paper and added the balloon with a foam dimensional dot.  Once again,  this was a super easy card to make.  Enjoy.

We're making MAGNETIC bookmarks today for our Make it Monday project.  Stop in anytime between 1PM and 3PM today and make one for yourself, a friend, or even dad (Father's Day).  Once you learn how to make these, you'll want to include one with every book you give as a gift.  They are so easy to personalize.  We've used a seaside sticker from K & Company for our bookmark.  However, if you're giving a gardening book, you can embellish it with a garden themed sticker.  Or if the recipient loves animals, you can choose an animal themed paper and embellishments.

This week's project is $2.

Creative Cafe

Join us today, anytime between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM.  We'll be making 6" x 6" fold out books at our Creative Cafe this week.  The kits are similar to the book with the flower, however, you can create the "bones" of the book, and then embellish the cover and inside however you like.  This week's project is $5.  Don't miss it.  We'll be having lots of fun.

Some Old Favorites

We created these cards using the extremely popular Hero Arts Past Times Set and Newsprint Background stamp.  We've had these cards at the store, and used them for an Art Bar project, so they may not be new to some of you.  However, they are quick, easy, and perfect for the men in your life.  With Father's Day just around the corner, we thought it would be the perfect time to feature them again.

What's New Wednesday

Look what's new this week! 

We have a new Ala Modes stamp from My Favorite Things Stamps.   This first image is a close up picture of a card I created using the stamp.  I love these stamps!  The images are so cute, and QUICK & EASY to color.

The second image shows a few GREASE proof cupcake liners we just got in (we have several other designs).  These liners are new from Wilton and maintain their color after baking!!

Finally, the last image is from Lifestyle Crafts.  We have three 4x4 alphabets that are the perfect size for card making.   We also received the doilies again (3 styles).  They sold out in a couple of days and have been sold out at Lifestyle Crafts for a few month now.  Don't miss these, they'll disappear again quickly.

Tim Holtz New Sizzix Dies

I have a couple more masculine inspired cards for you today.  Both were made using some of the new Tim Holtz Alterations / Sizzix dies.  We used the Sizzix Bigz Vintage Globe die for the first card, and the Movers and Shapers Vintage Fan and Globe set for the second card.  I hope you enjoy them.

Creative Cafe- Seaside Card

This month we will be featuring cards for the men in your life.  We get so many comments regarding how difficult it is to create cards for men.  June is the perfect month to feature masculine cards since we will be celebrating Father's Day on the 17th.  Our first project this month is a card we created with Doodlebug Design pre-made cards.  We'll be stamping on it and adding some embellishments to dress it up.  So, stop in today between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM and make a card for the man in your life.  This week's project is $3.
