Project Life/ Pocket Scrapbooking with Technique Tuesday

This week we have quite a few pocket scrapbooking cards using Technique Tuesday's March stamp and die along with the My Mind's Eye, On Trend, 6x6 paper pad.

This one is my favorite.  We used the January die to create several mini cards (great for journaling or lists ie.  5 Things...) that slip into a pocket that I cut and created using the March die.

Here's a photo showing the cards outside the pocket.

Here's a few more images of cards we created.

Tulip Bouquet from Memory Box

I love tulips!  So, I had to take the Tulip Bouquet die from Memory Box home to create some fun spring cards.  I went with red, since I have so many red (and yellow) tulips in my yard.

I cut the tulip form white cardstock.  I left the little pieces inside the outline cut, until I colored them with my Copic markers.  Once I colored them, I pushed the little pieces out, and placed them inside another cut I made from black cardstock.  Here's the result.

I attached them to watercolor paper so I could add a soft wash of watercolor around the tulips.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant's, Everyday Greetings set.  All the layerd mats were cute from MFT Die-namics Blueprints #20.

After I removed all the little inside pieces, I was left with a colored outline.  I used that for the second card.

We only have a couple of these left and won't be stocking them regularly again until next Spring.

Fresh Cut Flowers from MFT Stamps

We don't have the details yet, but we thought we'd share a few cards we've been working on for the June Card Club.  We love this die!

We cut all the pieces from white cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers.  It's hard to see in the picture,  each flower is covered with the Wink of Stella in clear.

Here's a close-up look at the daisies.

We used Technique Tuesday's March die for our sentiment on this card.  Again, all the flowers were cut in white and colored with Copic Markers.

The mats for all the cards were cut from MFT Stamps Die-Namics Blueprints #20 and #23.

Here's a look at all the dies/pieces included in this wonderful set.

Weekend Inspiration

We're featuring a page from Cathy's Art Journal for our Weekend Inspiration.  She used this month's Challenge Product, Gelatos, to create this inspirational page.

Ever wonder what to do with all your leftover, letter, stickers?  Stick them to a canvas or art journal page for some awesome texture.  Once you've stuck them down, apply a layer of gesso, then add your art on top!

After the layer of gesso, Cathy added Gelatos directly to the surface, starting with white in the center, then yellow, and finally pink. Then, she used a damp finger to blend the colors.

The circles were added using Gelatos and the edges highlighted with Big Brush Pens.  The handwritten words and sketch lines were added with the FUDE pen from Ranger.

Here's a close-up look at all the fun layers and texture.
