Fanciful Feathers from WPlus 9

We've had the Fanciful Feathers stamp set sitting on our craft table for a few weeks.  We finally had some time to sit down and create some fun cards with this versatile set.

The feather below was stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  This creates a resist image, an image that will resist the ink.  Emily used low tack masking tape to mask off a rectangle around the feather.  Then using the ink blending tool, she applied Distress Ink to the inside of the masked off area creating the green/blue rectangle you see around the feather.

This card is super simple and super easy.  Randomly stamp the feathers, horizontally and vertically with a light colored ink (we used grey).  Add a sentiment and you're done.

Another super quick and easy card.  We used Distress Ink for the colored feather.  The rest were stamped with grey ink.  The sentiment is from MFT Stamps. It's the Tickled Pink stamp set.

Clean Color Real Brush Markers from Zig

You're going to LOVE the Clean Color Real Brush Markers from Zig.  Stop in the store and give them a try.  We only have a few sets left, in stock.  However, we will be ordering the pens open stock so you can purchase them individually, in case you don't want the set.  Or, if you're like me, you may want to add to your set.  Both stamp sets used for these cards are from WPlus 9.

This image, from the Botanical Bunch stamp set, and is stamped on Mixed Media paper with black Archival Ink from Ranger.  I used the Clean Color Brush Markers to add small amounts of color where I wanted the darkest color to be.  Then, I used a wet brush, to pull out the color.

The butterfly image below is the largest butterfly from the Flora and Fauna 2 set.  It is stamped with black Archival Ink on Mixed Media paper.  The darkest areas were colored with the Clean Color Brush Marker.  I then used a wet brush to pull out the color.

Here's a close-up.  It's hard to see, but once the image was dry, I added some clear Wink of Stella over the butterfly wings.  Can you see the subtle shimmer?

Mama Elephant- Playful Pups

Today we have two cards featuring the cutest little puppies ever from Mama Elephant's Playful Pups stamp and die set.
