Tuesday with Toni: LF Speech Bubble Backdrop

Hello, friends! I have two cards today. I love being able to use my leftovers immediately, don't you? Let me show you what I mean.

I had the idea of use the Lawn Fawn Speech Bubble Backdrop as a stencil. I cut it out of Sno Cone cardstock and used it to sponge the card base with MFT Sno Cone Ink and MFT Lemon Drop Ink
with Picket Fence Studios Blender Brushes.

I stamped the background with a few sentiments from the MFT Birthday Bear set using Versafine Onyx Black.

I stamped the MFT Beary Special Birthday image and colored it with Copics.  I then adhered him to the card base with Scotch Foam Tape.

I was all ready to stop there when I noticed how pretty the sponged Lawn Fawn Speech Bubble Backdrop die cut had turned out.  I couldn't just toss that away!

Instead I glued the diecut to a card base using Gina K Connect Glue.

I then stamped a bunch of the Mama Elephant Big News sentiments using Versamark.  I embossed them with Ranger Gold Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder

I stamped out a couple of the Mama Elephant Big News images and colored them with Copics. I adhered them to the card front using  Gina K Connect Glue for the elephant and Scotch Foam Tape for the bunny.

Didn't that turn out fab?  And to think I was going to throw away that die cut!

Friday with Amy: Happy Birthday | Mama Elephant

Hey Hey, Happy Friday!  It's Amy here and I'm back sharing another card that features Mama Elephant:

Do you remember THIS card that I shared a couple weeks ago?  I went ahead and whipped up another card since I had the supplies out but added the very fun Big Happy Birthday creative cuts to his design.

I love those cute images from the Pinata Party set, don't you?  I decided to do a yellow + lavender color palette.  These are the copics I used:

Y06 | Y08
V01 | V12
E00 | E01

I'm on a mission to make a handful of birthday cards for all the March birthdays at work.  That mole is adorable, don't you think so?

I used the same paper pad as last time too, Avery Elle Spring Collection 6x6.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Tuesday with Toni: So Fairy Happy

Hello, my lovelies!  Today I have 2 cards for you using the Avery Elle Fairy Happy set. I was so excited that AE had come out with cute fairies as I LOVE fairies!

My first card involved embossing the flowers onto a pink ombre background sponged with Distress Oxide Spun Sugar.  I then used the Sunny Studio Eyelet Lace Frilly Frame to die cut the card front.

I then stamped and watercolored the fairies using Zig Real Brush Markers.  Notice how I popped up the bottom fairy with foam tape and curved the wings of the other fairies?  You can see the Clear Wink of Stella a bit too. Swoon!

My second card uses Clear Wink of Stella on the wings as well.  This card is simpler than the other in that it's directly stamped onto the card and watercolored.

I dressed it up a bit using a Lawn Fawn Simple Grassy Hillside die to cut the new Avery Elle Spring Collection 6x6 paper. I stamped the sentiment onto a Lawn Fawn banner using my beloved Versafine Onyx Black.

That's it for me today.  Hope you have a fairy happy rest of your week!
