More Party Animals from Avery Elle

A few weeks ago I cut and colored loads of these balloons from the More Party Animals set from Avery Elle.  I finally put them all on cards.  I shared one last week, another today, and one more coming next week.  Hope you don't get tired of them!

The balloons were stamped and cut from watercolor paper (I use this brand) and colored using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  The letters are from the Stitched Alphabet Die-namics set from MFT Stamps, and were also cut from the same watercolor paper.  I inked them using Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink and an Ink Blending Tool.

The background is also inked with Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink.

Beneath the Sea by Graphic 45

We have another project from Mary using the Graphic 45 collection, Beneath the Sea.  She decided to paint and cover a shell creating a small dish.  It's perfect for holding your rings on a vanity or bathroom counter.  She also created a decorative frame to go with it.

The frame was cut using the Tim Holtz Ornate Frame 2 from Sizzix.  She painted it, and then covered it with the glaze she had left from the Mosaic Kit that was used in her project featured last week.  If you missed that project, you can find HERE.

We live near the ocean, so we always have random shells laying around.  She decided this collection would be the perfect product to re-purpose a shell, creating a dish for holding rings or small jewelry.  Here's a closer look at her shell.

More Party Animals from Avery Elle

Last week we shared a peek on Instagram of all these fun party balloons colored and waiting for cards.  We finally turned them into fun party cards.  We're sharing this one today, and will share the others next week.

We used the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color the balloon images that were stamped and cut from watercolor paper.  The balloons and sentiment are from the More Party Animal set from Avery Elle.  The letters were cut using the Stitched Alphabet set from MFT Stamps.

Seaside Inspired Card using Memory Box Dies

Today we're sharing a seaside inspired card using some of the new Memory Box dies and Gansai Tambi watercolors.

The background and die cut pieces were colored using the Gansai Tambi and Starry Colors watercolors.  I love the intense shimmer you get when adding Starry Colors to your watercolors.

Here's a closer look at that shimmer effect from the Starry Colors.  It's hard to capture how beautiful it is in a photograph.

Graphic 45 Beneath the Sea

Wow!  Look at Mary's beautiful mixed media project she created with Graphic 45's Beneath the Sea collection and some of the new Idea-Ology pieces from Tim Holtz.  Most of this product is not currently available in our online store (only our Sequim, WA location).  However, if you'd like some of the products below, we'd be happy to add them to your order.  Simply email us at customerservice@doodlebugswa.com and let us know what products you're looking for.  If we have them in stock, we'd be happy to ship them to you.

Mary used the Tim Holtz Mosaic Kit to create a mosaic tile effect with Graphic 45's Beneath the Sea papers.   If you're not familiar with the Mosaic Tile Kit, you can watch this VIDEO from Tim Holtz demonstrating how it's used.

Here's a closer look at the tiles, and the embellishments she added to the top of the tiles once they were dry.  The Mini Gears and the Framed Panel are from the Tim Holtz Idea-Ology collection.  You really must see this in person.  My photography skills do not represent the amazing details and beauty of this piece.
