Today we're featuring another card we created with our Harvest paper crafting kit. It's one of our favorite kits so far. We hope you love it as much as we do. You'll find the kit and the Kit Add On in our online store HERE.
To create this card, we stamped the outline image of the leaves, from the stamp set included in the kit, with VersaMark ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. We colored the leaves with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Markers and blended the color with the ZIG Wink of Stella in clear. You can find the Wink of Stella pen in our online store HERE. The Clean Color Real Brush Markers will be added to our online store in October along with embossing powders and VersaMark ink. We do however, have them in our retail store. So, contact us if you can't wait. We'll pull the products you'd like from the store and ship them to you.
We embellished the card with some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. You'll find them in our online store HERE.
The stitched and scallop pieces were cut with the Blueprints #20 Die-namics die. You'll find that in our online store HERE. Here's a look at everything included with that die.

Today we're sharing more projects we created using our Harvest Paper Crafting Kit. If you'd like to purchase a kit, you can find it in our online store HERE.
This lovely card was created using a resist technique. We created a watercolor background on watercolor paper using the Distress Inks in the kit. We featured a quick HOW TO on this technique in a previous blog post. You can find that post HERE. After the background was completely dry, we used VersaMark ink and clear embossing powder to create the leaf images onto the watercolored background. Once we heat embossed the leaf images, we used an ink blending tool to applyVintage Photo Distress Ink over the top of the paper. Since the leaves were embossed, they resist the brown ink, preserving the original watercolor.

After inking the leaf stamp with the Broken China Distress Ink, we added some of the Seedless Preserves Ink to the edges of the leaves. Stamped them onto watercolor paper and added a little water to the stamped image with a damp brush.
The sentiment is stamped with VersaMark ink onto vellum, and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
We also embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder, onto vellum for the card below. We added some of the washi tape from the kit to the left side of the card, and used foam tape to lift the patterned paper and sentiment up from the front of the card. Quick and easy.

Here's a close-up look at the awesome leaves we created using the mini Tim Holtz Distress Ink pads that are included in the kit. After using the inks to create a wonderful background on watercolor paper, we cut the leaves using the die included in the Add-on Kit. We featured this same technique using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in a previous post. You can view it HERE.

This year, the Pumpkin Spice collection from Simple Stories is one of my favorite Fall collections. I think Emily likes it too. She's been making some wonderful Fall cards this week with the sticker sheet, Bits & Pieces package, and papers from this cozy collection.

Wow! I love this amazing card Emily created using some wonderful Holiday stamps from WPlus9 and Avery Elle. Stamps and dies are available in our retail store and in our online store. Click on the links to be taken to the featured products on our website.
She created the pattern at the bottom of the card by stamping two of the borders (repeatedly) from the Fair Isle stamp set using white ink on grey cardstock.
We've been so busy at Doodlebugs the past few weeks! We've been up late at night, editing and uploading content for our website so those of you who live beyond the Olympic Peninsula can purchase our products. We've been unpacking and merchandising the Holiday products and collections that you've been patiently waiting for. We've closed out our "Party Room", painted it, rearranged it, and now we're busy moving product in and ordering product to fill the open spaces. So, we're sorry we've been a bit inconsistent with our "What's New Wednesday" emails. Please be patient with us as we try to "wrap up" all these extra projects and get back to a normal routine.
In the meantime, we'll do our best to keep you updated on Wednesdays. However, don't be surprised if you see "What's New Wednesday" delivered on Thursday or Friday.
