Tulips and rainbow starburst!

Hello, my friends, and happy weekend eve!  Michele here, and I'm delivering Spring tulips to you today - do you love tulips as much as I do?

I found a beautiful rainbow of color to these gorgeous Waffle Flower Crafts tulips today with Copic markers chosen from the rainbow of hues in my background created with the Pinkfresh Studio Layered Starburst stencils!

With a penknife, I was able to cut even those intricate pieces with 

care - use a self-healing mat while cutting...

... and here's a tip - smooth those cuts from the backside like so:

Nobody will ever know you didn't use a die to cut them!

A simple stitched rectangle die to 'finish' the edge, and a few Pinkfresh jewels, and this card is ready to be delivered!  I found this sentiment among my many snippets - but THIS ONE from Waffle Flower would be a wonderful addition to any stash!

Happy Birthday Party Animal....

 

Hello everyone!! Happy May! I am sharing this fun birthday shaker card using the fun Stackable Cuties stamp set from Mama Elephant. 

I began by coloring the images from the Stackable Cuties stamp set, along with the birthday hat from the Stackable Friends stamp set, the greenery from the Stems and Sprigs stamp set, the rock from the Mermaid For You, and the palm tree from the Sending Sunshine stamp set using Copic markers. For the green areas, I used YG01, FYG2, G05, G09, G28, and YG17. For the yellow, I used Y08. For the blue, I used B24. For the turquoise, I used BG23. For the brown areas, I used E41, E31, E55, E35, E84, E50, E51, and E87. For the gray areas, I used C0, W2, W3, C5, and W5. 

Next, I used the Simple Stripes Diagonal Lawn Cuts die to create the base of the card. I used the die to die-cut the stripes from different colored cardstock. I then used the Nesting Hexagons die to create the center area for the card. I added color to the smaller hexagon using Distress Oxide inks. I used Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch. I then used the hexagon die once again to die cut a strip from green cardstock. Next, I used the grassy layer from the Nature Essentials die to create the grass border. 

I then heat embossed the sentiment from the Stackable Friends stamp set onto the smaller hexagon. Simple Masculine Anniversary Card

Hi, everyone!  Toni here with you today sharing a super cute masculine card suitable for an anniversary, Valentine's Day or just any time you want to let someone know you love them.

I diecut the Lawn Fawn Portrait Quilted Heart Backdrop and adhered it to an apple green piece of cardstock (green is my partner's favorite color--look at me remembering stuff!)

I colored up the Mama Elephant Everyday Monkeys images using Copics. Notice the look of the palm trunk?  I colored that up with dark brown E49 and E57 then went over it with the 0 blender which gave it the perfect aged palm trunk look.

Altenew Magnolia Ballerina! It's tutu cute!

 

Hi everyone - it's Michele, your gal-Friday again!  Happy weekend eve!

I have such a pretty set to feature today, so let's get right to it, shall we?

The Altenew Magnolia Ballerina stamp, and stencil set are so big, and so

magnificent it could hardly matter which colors you choose.  I often reach for a neutral, and that's exactly what I did for my premier stamping today.

Black for the outline stamping, three neutrals from Altenew's Coffee Break set, and the second darkest from their Rose Petal collection - called Purple Wine - for the stenciling.  You might reach for any color combo you have that gives you

varying shades of color.

I absolutely love how my accidental cross over of inks brought 

warmth and interest to my blooms!  

Tell me who doesn't need to hear these words on occasion?

An A2 set of rectangle dies like this one from Waffle Flower Crafts is 

indispensable in any card maker's arsenal of tools.  Simple. Elegant. Versatile.
