Friday with Amy: Just wanted to say | Lawn Fawn

Hello and Happy Friday!  It's Amy here and I'm so excited to share my project for today.  It features some of the new Lawn Fawn release:

Here it is:

I've been reading a bunch of questions on different FB boards about the Magic Iris and if it is difficult to put together.  This is my first go at it and I'll be making more!  I'm definitely not a mechanically oriented crafter but I have to tell you that Kelly Marie's YouTubes are FABulous.  I sat through her Magic Iris video and then played it again while I was putting mine together.

Let's chat about my card.  I love the Sunshine Remix and Dandy Day papers.  They're so fun + happy.  The Scalloped Add On was cut from Dandy Day.  The card base is Sunshine Remix and the interior Iris is an older Lawn Fawn 6x6 from my stash, Let's Polka. I also used the polka on the pull tab arrow piece.

The Hey Lady set is so CUTE.  I used the leaf and all three ladybugs plus one from from A Bug Deal.  This interactive design is so amazing:

The interior sentiment is from Love Poems.  The size was perfect!

Here's more of a step-by-step photo progression of the card:

I'm so excited to create more designs with this interactive die.  I'm already throwing around ideas for a caffeinated version [of course!].

These are the copics I used:

I can't wait to see how this release inspires you!

Tuesday with Toni: Honey Bee Happy Mail

Have you all seen the Honey Bee Post Box dies? They're so fun and full of possibilities!
  • As I've done here with the post flap able to open.
  • The post flap and other elements flat.
  • Imagine the interactive post flap and when you open it, a shaker!
  • Not mounting the post box on a card base but instead using two to make a shaped card.
Ack!  Not enough hours in the day to craft!

In this card, I paired the dies with the new Honey Bee Back to Basics 6x6 paper along with Lawn Fawn Spring Fling 6x6 paper.

Florals and geometrics are just so IT.  Love them together!

I added additional patterns by using the Lawn Fawn Polka Heart backdrop as an impression plate on the pink card stock. Did you notice the Doodlebug Tiny Heart Shape Sprinkles I added as bolts to the floral panel?

To stuff the post box, I used a number of the Lawn Fawn Candy Hearts dies--some floral, some solid, and even one using the same Doodlebug Design washi tape I used at the bottom of the post box. Happy mail indeed!

I hope you've enjoyed today's card.  I'll see you again next week!

Friday with Amy: Let's Celebrate | Mama Elephant

Happy Friday!  It's Amy and I'm sharing a fun birthday card that features Mama Elephant:

Here's how I was inspired:

I need to stockpile a bunch of birthday cards for work.  There are several people celebrating their birthday next month.  Have you picked up the Pinata Party yet?  Oh my goodness, talk about pure cuteness.

I'm not sure if I love that mole or the bear better.  You can't readily tell but the mole has lavender glasses.  That bear, he's so cute with his vest and tummy.

The sentiment from Celebration Balloons fit my design perfectly.  That star paper is Avery Elle Spring Collection 6x6.

The copics I used:

YR01 | YR02
BV0000 | BV000
E50 | E51

Tuesday with Toni: MFT Floral Focus

Hello, my lovelies. I am working with the MFT Floral Focus set today. It's such a gorgeous image, isn't it?

I twice stamped the image using Versafine Onyx Black onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper. I extended the stems a bit using a Copic Multiliner before cutting with my Scan n Cut.

I watercolored the lot using Zig Real Brush Watercolor Markers. Zigs are quite vibrant so I toned the colors down using an overlay of Zig 072 Beige on the flowers.

For the sentiment I stamped one of the MFT Essential Sentiments with Versamark and embossed it with Ranger White Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder. I cut that out with an MFT Skinny Strip. The strip and a few of the blossoms that I had used as filler are mounted on Scotch Foam Tape.
