Hello Monday!

Happy Monday everyone.  Does anyone else feel like January flew by?  It's been such a hectic month around here.  The CHA Show, inventory, planning classes, tax preparation, new products and three out-of-state trips, has kept us all very busy this month.  It's been a while since we've updated you on new products and new happenings here at Doodlebugs.  If you don't follow us on Facebook and/or Instagram, you probably feel like you're in the dark.  So, today we're going to share some new products that have arrived and some that we saw at the CHA Show, that have not arrived yet.  So grab a cup of coffee (or tea) and start scrolling.  Be sure to check out the video demonstrations on the new products.  It's the next best thing to being there!!

NEW ARRIVALS!

We received our order of NEW Memory Box and Poppy Stamps Spring dies.  Below are a few of our favorites.  However, you'll want to stop in to take a peek at them all.

A few months ago, we ordered these awesome, masking pens!  They've been so popular and, hence have been hard to get.  We finally received our order, and they are flying out of here.  If you want one, you'll need to get them now.  I'm sure they'll be sold out next week.  Here's a video from Jennifer McGuire featuring this pen.

We have some new collections that arrived, and many more coming.  This collection, C'est La Vie, from Pink Paislee, is one of my favorites!  I love the mirror embellishments and the cork hearts with gold accents.  Be sure to take a look at this collection next time you're in the store.  I'm sure you'll love it!

ARRIVING SOON!

We're super excited about this news.  We placed an order for Altenew stamps while we were at the CHA Show.  We loved their beautiful floral stamps and know you will too.  They also had an awesome Seattle stamp.  Of course, we order it!!  They shipped last week, so they should arrive here any day.

Here's the Seattle stamp set.

Here's one of the floral sets we ordered, Vintage Flowers.

Here's an image demonstrating how to layer the stamps to create amazing floral images!

We also ordered the new Collage Mediums, Distress Crayons, Distress Marker Tins, Yupo Paper and Collage Brushes from Tim Holtz.  Here's a video featuring his new products released at the CHA Show.  The products will be shipping in February.  Be sure to watch the video below!

More awesome news.  The MISTI (Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented) is scheduled to arrive mid March.  We already have a huge pre-order list.  So, if you'd like to get your hands on this tool, we suggest you get on our special order list.  We may sell out before they arrive....The larger one is $65 and the smaller $45.  You'll find an awesome video demonstrating this tool HERE.

You Are Loved

Another quick card for our Seattle Children's Hospital Card Challenge.  I thought we should create some for the older kids and this seemed perfect.  If you're not familiar with our challenge, you can find all the details HERE.

We cut the background using the Heart Lattice Background die from Poppy Stamps and watercolored it with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  We repeated the same process with the word YOU (both were cut from watercolor paper). We used the Simply Said You stamp and die from Avery Elle for the "You are loved" sentiment.

We added a small die cut heart and covered it with Glossy Accents.

Hogs and Kisses from Avery Elle

Today we're sharing some Valentine Bookmarks for our Seattle Children's Hospital Card Challenge.  If you're not familiar with our challenge, you can find the details HERE.

We used the cute pigs from the Hogs and Kisses stamps set from Avery Elle to make some Valentine themed bookmarks.  We colored them with the Zig Clean Color Read Brush Markers.  Then, added some Clear Wink of Stella to the heart.  It's hard to see in the images, but it does have some shimmer.  We used washi tape for the tops of the bookmarks.

Paper Smooches- Bees Die

We've been having fun with the adorable little Bees Die from Paper Smooches.

Today we added them to the Envie Die from Avery Elle.  We thought it would be perfect for wrapping up a little "Thank You" gift card for a friend.

Of course we had to add some Stardust and Red Stickles to the wings and heart.

We have another card for our Seattle Children's Hospital January Card Challenge.  If you're not familiar with our Challenge, you can  find all the details HERE.

We used the Boom Bots stamp set from Paper Smooches to create this little Valentine Card.

We stamped the image and colored it with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  The Stitched Frame and the Stitched Mini Scallop Square were cut using Die-Namics Dies from MFT Stamps.

Sending Love

The Simply Said sets from Avery Elle are so versatile.  We're using the Simply Said Love stamp and die today to create some Valentine cards for some of the older kids at Children's Hospital.  It's part of our January Card Challenge.  If you're not familiar with our challenge, you can find all the details HERE.

We used the Blueprints #23 Die-namics from MFT Stamps to cut the stitched, white piece in the center.  The patterned paper on the sides is from the NEW Hello Love 6" x 6" paper pad from Crate Paper.  The word LOVE, and the hearts, were cut from cardstock.  We added Clear Wink of Stella over the word and hearts.  Love that shimmer!

Whale Hello from Avery Elle

Today we have two more Valentine cards for the kids at Children's Hospital.  If you're not familiar with our Children's Hospital Card Drive for January, you can find all the information HERE.

We used the Whale Hello stamp set and die from Avery Elle to create these fun cards.

The background was created using the Wave background stamp from MFT Stamps and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  After covering the stamp with ink, we misted it lightly with water before stamping onto watercolor paper.

The cute little whales were stamped onto watercolor paper and colored with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  The watercolor papers for the waves were cut using the Double Stitched Square and Blueprints #20 Die-namics sets from MFT Stamps.  The blue pieces were cut using Blueprints #13.

For a final touch, we added some die cut hearts and covered them with glossy accents.
