WPlus 9- Fresh Cut Containers

I love all these new stamps we have in stock from WPlus 9.  They make it so easy to create beautiful, watercolor images.  I featured a few cards using the Pretty Peonies a few weeks ago.  You can view those card HERE.  This time, I used the Fresh Cut Container stamp set and, of course, some Distress Ink Markers from Tim Holtz.  This set includes different flowers, pots, and greenery to create unique floral containers and arrangements.  I've included an image of the entire set at the bottom of this post.

Here's a close up image.

Here's an image of the stamp set.

Project Life / Pocket Scrapbooking with Technique Tuesday

We're loving the new June stamp and die from Technique Tuesday.  This month I chose a few papers from Gossamer Blue and challenged myself to use vellum and embossing powder for these cards.  Here's what I came up with for this month.  You could also use most of these cards as embellishments for the front of greeting cards.  They would make lovely cards for friends and family.

All dies and stamps are from Technique Tuesday unless noted otherwise.

This card is my favorite!  The individual photo I took of it was blurry (sad face).  So, I'm using the group shot to feature this one.  I thought this card would be wonderful on the front of a greeting card also.

I used some flair buttons I had left over from the cards I made with May's stamp and die.  You can see those cards HERE.  I used white embossing powder and heat embossed the stamped image onto vellum.

For the card below, I cut the butterfly from black cardstock, covered it with VersaMark ink and clear embossing powder, then I heat embossed it.  Love the glossy effect.  I cut the butterfly from the patterned paper, removed it, and inlaid the black butterfly.  I then backed it with pink cardstock.

I used the butterfly I cut from the patterned paper above, for the card below.  Using the same technique, I embossed the butterfly with clear embossing powder.  The sentiment is also embossed.  However, I used white embossing powder so it would show up nicely on the black paper.  The tiny heart is from February's die release.

For the final 4x6 card, I inked the butterfly die and the ran it through my Big Shot using the rubber mat (the squishy one) between the paper and the cutting plate.  I saw this technique on Jennifer McGuire's blog and had to try it.  You can watch her technique video HERE.

I also used the Remember die and stamp set from April's release.  You can see those cards HERE.

MFT Stamps- Flamingos Die and Tickled Pink Stamp

Flamingos are so popular right now.  Who wouldn't love these two from MFT Stamps?

Emily and I collaborated together to create this card.  We love how it turned, and decided we should do this more often!  Hope you like it as much as we do.

The flamingos are cut from white cardstock and colored with Copic Markers.  It's hard to see in these images, but we added some clear Wink of Stella to the wings.

The waves and beach are cut using Avery Elle's  Dotted Border dies from kraft and blue cardstock.  The sun was cut using the Stitched Circle die from MFT Stamps and colored with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and an ink blending tool.

Here's a close up image.

Below are images of the Tickled Pink stamp set and Flamingos die.

Weekend Inspiration

Our weekend inspiration was inspired by the cute project we saw in January at the CHA Show (shown below).

These are super easy to make.  They are made from scrap pieces of 2x4 lumber.  Sand and paint them.  Use Collage Pauge to adhere and seal the word image to your block.  Add knobs, feet, or coordinating embellishments and you're done!

Here's the sheet we used for the images above.  However, you can use any of the cute images and phrases designed for  project life and pocket scrapbooking.  Have fun.
