Tim Holtz Tree Line Stamp Set

I know, it's only August, but our Holiday stamps, dies, paper and products are arriving now.

So, we thought we'd share a couple cards we've been working on.

We used the Tim Holtz Tree Line stamp set for both cards.

The card below was stamped with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  We used an ink blending tool to apply Distress Ink to the background of the card.  The embossed areas resist the ink, giving the trees a snow covered look.

Here's a close-up look at the trees.

I love it when stamps can be used to create completely different looks and/or used for multiple seasons or events.  I thought this card would make a wonderful masculine card for someone who enjoys the outdoors.  Change the sentiment and use it for Father's Day, birthday, or thinking of you.

The trees were stamped with different color Distress Ink.  We used a brush to add some water to the tree images, giving them a watercolor effect.

Here's a close-up look at those beautiful trees.

The hello die is from Mama Elephant.

Here's a look at the stamp set.

  1. Love this stamp set. How did you make the snow effect? Is that a stamp too?

    1. We used clear embossing powder to emboss the trees on white paper. Then we added the blue Distress Ink to make the background blue. The embossed area resists the ink to the trees stay white. Ask us for a demonstration next time you're in the store.
