Art Journaling with Texture Paste and Gelatos

Happy Monday everyone.  Hope you enjoyed the beautiful weekend and all the sunshine.

Today we're sharing a page from Mary's art journal.  She was inspired by last month's product challegne, texture paste and her Gelatos.

She applied a layer of texture paste to the background with a pallet knife.  This creates that wonderful texture effect (similar to a textured wall).  Once this was dry, she used one of the NEW stencils from Tim Holtz, Wild Flower, and texture paste to add the flowers.  It's super easy.  Lay your stencil on the page, and fill the open spaces with the texture paste.  It's best to allow this to air dry.  Texture paste can bubble if it gets too hot.

Once everything was dry, she used her Gelatos to color the background and flowers.  Color directly onto the surface and then blend and move the colors with a wet finger (or stiff brush).  Keep adding color until you're happy.

Have a great week!
